Quiet campsite under trees, friendly atmosphere. Just behind hotel ‘Zum Adler’ with very good food and great terrace. Good toilet facilities. A resting point at which to start your holiday. Wonderful cycling along the Rhine and around ‘der Kaiserstuhl’, the delicious wine district in 'Germany’s Tuscany'. Cycle path network is excellent.

Travelling party: Seniors

Limited access times. I believe the staff welcome is very variable. We were meet be the very miserable and indifferent old person. He was most unhelpful. The price is high, but what is particularly irritating is the pathetic need to pay coins for the shower. And then it didn’t work. The pitches are very small and tightly packed together. The location of the electrical hook up points can be very far from the pitches. You have to pay for use by a meter reading in the morning of departure.
On the plus side the toilet facilities are very good and clean. The area is good for cycling and walking. The River Rhine is very nearby. We didn’t use the associated hotel restaurant so cannot comment. Bread can be ordered the night before. Though that was also expensive. Larger Motorhomes should check size restrictions as the entrance is tight and plot sizes small.
