Very unusual campsite right on the lake. Rather run down in areas but quite good in others. Main toilet block warm clean and reasonably modern but additional toilet only block very ramshackle. Showers timed but very good. Free with ACSI card and operated by a token (Eu1.50 without ACSI) Free Wi Fi quite good. Staff speak only a little English but very pleasant and helpful. pitches on grass with some gravel reinforcement but can still be boggy in wet weather so pick your spot carefully. Bar and Cafe open mainly sausage and schnitzle. Easy walk or bike ride into pleasant enough town Ludwigshaven.

on arrival first impressions were that the site looked scruffy and all the placements looked squashed up together like a camperstop. we were given places further into the campsite but on top of permanent pitches so felt very squashed in. there is a noisy train track running right beside the camp too which stopped about 1140pm and started again at 0630am. the toilet block also needed a good clean. Overall the campsite was not worth 25euros which was the ACSI price plus tax.

ACSI was accepted but discriminated against as were not allowed pitches other than those least attractive. We paid the full rate to ensure a decent emplacement.

ACSI onvriendelijke camping. Baas is een muffel... echt onvriendelijk. Verplicht cash betalen, geen bankkaart. Sanitair stinkt en alle wc brillen staan los. Geen aanrader

Very disappointing site. Not worth the price they charged despite us using our ACSI card. Pretty area overlooking the lake, but not dog friendly. Several areas to access the lake from the site but dogs aren’t allowed either on the shore or in the lake. The buildings are ramshackle and the staff unhelpful. No information offered as to the facilities. This site is adjacent to a very busy noisy road and unfenced railway line. Not suitable for families with small children! Very overpriced. With some time and financial investment this site could be improved but the staff give the impression that they’re not bothered.

very poor campsite, far to many units allowed to pitch, in busy periods you may find that your suddenly sharing it with two or three other units.
main toilet block OK but not big enough for the amount of people. extra toilets situated in a rotting wooden shed.
campsite only accepts cash, but don't tell you this when you arrive, pointing out a sign in German when your trying to pay is not very helpful.

Totally missed opportunity at this campsite. They have fantastic views, fantastic location and poor waterfront - if only they would spruce up the campsite this would also be fantastic. The reception is located in a run down building, as noted in the description the pitches are not marked out; add some bushes; add some gravel, wouldn't take much. No wi-fi, and if you wanted a shower you had to pay for the privilege of a 4-minute shower. Didn't have the warm touchy-feely of other campsites I have stayed at.
