Good overnight campsite as one review said it’s a large slopping car park but if your traveling to or from your destination what more do you want. The facilities are good the restaurant is responsibly priced. If you do stay more than one night and make it known you will be given a much nicer pitch. It is well worth spending a few days looking around if you have the time. My only complaint about this site that I tow a car behind our motorhome on an A frame no trailer and they insisted on charging extra for the car which I don’t feel is any different to a car and caravan which is only charged as one unit perhaps the word Greed comes to mind

Used this campsite on route but it is in fact a gravel car park not a campsite by any description.
Toilet facilities good.
Tried the restaurant next door very average.
Overnight stop ok any more no way

Very friendly, English speaking site. Close to motorway but without associated noise. Ideal for a one night stop en route. I would certainly use this site again.

Convenient stop on way south; Slovenia and Croatia in our case. Despite its proximity to the motorway it's surrounded by countryside with access directly into a wood with a floor of wild garlic. There is an Italian restaurant next door, had brought provisions so didn't try it. Toilets and shower block, spotless and heated. The one minor inconvenience was the facilities were all accessed by card, so visits to shower, loo, and washing up area had to be planned as we only one card, the card was then posted in the slot at the gate to raise the barrier on your departure day so very efficient.

We used this site as an overnight stop on our way to Slovenia. It was excellent. Reception was friendly and helpful. We were put on a hard standing pitch near the entrance, which was fine. The toilet/shower facilities were superb.
After many hours on busy motorways, we enjoyed the opportunity of a walk in the forest, directly from the site.
It's close to the motorway but down in a bit of a valley, so you can't see it, all you can see is countryside, and it's pretty quiet.
An excellent overnight stop.

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of May. Staff friendly and accommodating. We originally were shown to quite a tight pitch for the size of our motorhome 7.5 metres, but later was asked if we would like to move and were moved to a much larger pitch. A mixture of long term units and short term. Very handy for the A 8 but very little road noise. Nicely situated to walk into Aichelberg with supermarket, bakery and restaurant. Toilet and shower facilities were modern up to date and immaculate. Shower had hooks in all the right places and was a good size with plenty of hot water. One of the best toilet blocks we've experienced on our travels. Plenty of walks around the campsite and dog friendly. Would stay again.

A great place to stay as a stopover, facilities are very good, don't be put off by the photograph of the fence surrounding the site. It is quite rural and very pleasant, all the staff are friendly and speak English. Not a lot of things to do so probably just a stopover spot.

Stayed one night only. Welcome was warm, the site was very quiet & very convenient to the motorway. Had a wonderful meal in a local restaurant in Aichelberg itself, only a short cycle away. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay.
