Lovely clean attractive peaceful site-Nice size as not too big. Very handy for the Dieppe ferry. Nice level grass site. Site toilet blocks are old but very clean. No toilet seats as often in France. Bread and croissants etc can be pre-ordered but there is an amazing patisserie just up the road (closed Mondays). Pétanque pitch and pool table available near to the small bar which was open a couple of hours when we were there. Nice heated swimming pool and lovely friendly hosts. Best to be able to speak a little French. Enjoyed trip to nearby beach Pourville sue Mer which has a great restaurant ‘Adele’. 2nd visit & will return.
The site is 10 minutes drive from the town of Dieppe and 15 minutes from the ferry port. Access is down a single track alongside the river and over a couple of narrow bridges. The site has a number of seasonal pitches and lodges but is well maintained with reasonable sized touring pitches. Many of these pitches are set alongside the small, fast flowing river which could be dangerous if you have children. Some pitches have slabs set into the grass to park caravans/motorhomes on. After heavy rain the pitches were very waterlogged and took some time to drain. Toilet/showers are old but clean. Lacks fresh water supply points, we only found one to serve the whole site and this is immediately behind the elsan disposal point. Geese & ducks wander around the site which can be noisy and messy underfoot. There is a nearby railway line with trains passing by at all hours of the day & night so some noise from them. A small bar and lovely outdoor pool (which was closed on our visit in mid September). The site wifi can only be received in the bar area. There are supermarkets in the town itself but only a small boulangerie within 500mtrs of the site. This site is good for short stopovers for which we would return.
A lovely site, we only stayed for 2 nights on the way to the ferry, we had a lovely pitch next to the river, it was lovely to see the geese and ducks and its a very nice place, very peaceful, we shall be returning in September, and whenever we come to France!!!
Decided to stay here for a couple of days on the way back to Calais, and ended up staying 4 days.
Very early in the season so the site had just opened, but the campsite was very neat and tidy. Some \'start of season\' work was going on, but nothing which got in the way.
Nice location, being a short bike ride from Pourville in one direction, and Offranville in the other (via a dedicated cycle route).
Didn\'t make it into Dieppe this time, but didn\'t feel like it would be difficult to get there.
Even this early in the season they could supply fresh bread from reception (if ordered the day before). Other facilities still closed, but games room and pool look quite nice. Will certainly visit again.
