A lovely site. Flat grassy pitches, clean modern facilities, friendly and helpful staff and tasty cider. If only more sites were like this! Pleasant village nearby, Abbey worth a visit. Highly recommended.
Came here after reading the reviews and we are so glad we did.Intended to stay for one night and are now into 4th day.Weather has helped, but the whole ambience of the sight is its biggest asset.Staff couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely return.
Writing this review on site. Lovely campsite with very good facilities, very welcome covered swimming pool and nice restaurant. Had a lovely meal of at least a kilo of mussels, chips and bread & their own bottled cider! No sulphites! Staff tend to speak just French but helpful and friendly. Toilets and showers are good (remember to take your own toilet roll). Short walk down to pretty village. No shops within walking distance. Recommend the site for a short stopover.
We were in our own caravan and not at all sporty so can't assess the sporting facilities, nor did we have children with us. But WOW the site is absolutely lovely, everything you could wish for and only a short distance from Brionne, a nice little town to relax and watch the world go by. Will definitely recommend.
We used the site as a stop over for just one night but could stay a few nights in this nice relaxing atmosphere. Swimming pool and bar looked good but did not try out. Good touring pitches in an old Apple orchard. Quite a log way down small lanes from main roads to get to.
lovely site convenient for 1st night after ferry or tunnel. Set in a lovely area.
good swimming pool - covered.
Food looked and smelled good, quite a simple menu. Had own food so did not use.
Always looking for a good first site in France after the Tunnel and this was a real find. Quite large well-drained pitches (though not hedged), heated toilet & shower block, food available even in April, free wi-fi and great dog walking opportunities in the woods around the site too. A magical early evening walk down the forest track opposite the site drew us towards the tolling bell for Evensong at the Abbey in Le Bec Hellouin just a short distance away. A choice of three restaurants in the village as well and a lot to explore locally. You've probably gathered that we loved it!
Near a beautiful medieval village - a short walk from the site (down a steep wooded area) God for walking and cycling, very clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff, pool was open but never tried it (it was March!). Yes would stay their again
Only stayed for two nights on our way north for the tunnel. Very pleasant and well laid out site. Toilets more than adequate with plenty of hot water. Small bar area with takeaway food. Brionne close by for shopping of essentials. Pitches are now marked out and of a reasonable size. After 7 weeks in France we have to say that it was here we found the best croissants and pain au chocolat!
The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Choose you own pitch. Wifi is supposed to be free across the whole site but in some areas, our pitch, it was very hit and miss, but a walk to reception was not far.
We will certainly return as it is useful as a stopover if nothing more.
At the campsite as I write! We shall be staying for just 2 nights as a stop off on an extended route to Bourges. A very pleasant, quiet site close to a delightful wood and a small Normandy village. A most pleasant welcome. The bar area is good and the service great! The toilet & shower facilities are good and, as said elsewhere, there is a constant supply of hotwater for washing-up, laundry etc. Highly recommended for a short stop-over.
