This was our second visit en-route to Italy, this time we stayed a second night to enjoy the lake. We were offered a lakeside pitch so we had stunning views.
Sanitary facilities are somewhat dated but clean. Washing up was easy and hot water plentiful.
Bread available daily, order the night before. Very friendly and helpful staff
very nice spot.good swimming in the lake. Water was warm. nice pitches. Ample toilets. Cleaned regularly throughout the day but bring your own paper. nearest shop is about three miles away. Other than the swimming no real facilities for kids. Snack bar on site but very basic and limited choice. If ham & chips type menu is OK for you. Couldn't find any walk's around the lake. Pleasant quiet site. I would happily visit again.
Fabulous site. We chanced upon it a few years ago and were delighted to return this year. The lake is the warmest in Europe and great for swimming in. Sandy beach so no nasty stones to negotiate. Reception staff delightful. Excellent range of ice creams at the cafe. As others have said the seasonal pitches have the best views but there are still three or four lakeside pitches up for grabs - worth ringing ahead to see if you can get one. Views are stunning. No signs to say no dogs on beach (there were last time - tho the chappie said it wouldn't be a problem so long as there weren't other swimmers or fishermen around) so our dogs did swim but we were careful to not allow anyone to be affected by them. We will return! Also, for fellow dog owners, if using this campsite on way back to UK, there's a lovely cheap vet just north of here at Seyssel.
Stayed here as an overnight stay , easy to find , friendly reception man , spoke fairly good English . Beautiful area , lake very pretty , dog loved it , as it was quiet , but I don't think dogs are allowed in the lake , as lots of fishermen in high season ( was quiet when we visited )
No shop on site and nearest little store is around the lake , and expensive . Pitch was good size and good motorhomes facilities .
This was our second stay for a couple of nights. The lake is fabulous for swimming and the surrounding area good for cycling. It was busier this year the site has a lot of long term caravans pitched.
Stayed here recently for 4 days, and everything from the welcome we received, to the site pitch, views and facility cleanliness were perfect. this is also one of the few sites which states it takes large motorhomes (we are an american RV) and not only does it actually take them, but the access to the site also takes us!
There are clearly some permanent/ long stay campers on site who are also friendly and you cannot blame anyone for wanting a permanent pitch in such a stunning locale. We will definitely return and highly recommend you to do the same!
