Lovely site amongst vineyards and short walk away from charming small town. Good sized pitches with privacy hedging most with shade. Very friendly feel to the site and the surrounding Beaujolais region. Friday night wine tasting on site and Thursday night market in the town. Varied marked walks and bike rides in the area. For the stunning view walk up through the steep vineyards to the small church on the hill overlooking the town.
Good location on edge of town. Have stopped here most years on way to or from the south. Pitches a good size but poorly maintained. Grass not cut and the beach hedges not trimmed, which reduces size of pitch and is covering the pitch numbers. Staff friendly and pool much improved since it’s roof covering. One of the toilet block in need of refurbishment and neither toilet blocks hand dryers was working. Snack bar not open at time of our visit.
A delightful campsite in the heart of the Beaujolais wine area.Free wine tastings Tuesday and Friday and a warm indoor pool. Very helpful staff who went the extra distance to make the visit memorable. Excellent walking country ... we will definitely be back
Busy but pleasant campsite. Reasonable pitch size - well separated by tallish hedges. Toilet and showers are satisfactory but one of the blocks is ia tad “tired”. Lovely swimming pool.
Close to lovely village of Fleurie - a five minute walk through the vines - with it’s restaurants, bars and local shops - good butchers, good bakers, small but acceptable supermarket and of course ampleopportunity to sample the local wines.
Free wine tasting on Tuesday and Friday and small snack shack on site.
A good base for exploring the local wine offerings.
Good site in lovely area. Apart from the bottom terrace, the pitches are all well hedged, making them quite private. Water, drainage and electric on every plot. Views of vineyards. Walk into town along footpath by vineyard edge. We stayed 14 nights (their offer - pay for just 11) though many people were only there one night.
We have been visiting this campsite for 19 years. Unfortunately this year there are some problems which I feel I must highlight.
1. Old toilet block is in need of refurbishment. Several showers and toilets don't work. Numerous days where there was no toilet roll. There are no mops for the shower areas. There are numerous cracked/ broken/ missing tiles. The wooden doors and frames have rotted. The window in shower area has been cracked for over 1 year. The outside area is full of weeds. The WC disposal area is dirty.
2. The hedges on over half of the pitches were uncut at end of June, and many pitches had long grass.
3. One of the showers in the swimming pool area has been broken for over a year.. Several sunloungers were cracked.
4. The owner's dog was unsupervised on the site on a number of occasions, and was aggressive to other dogs on the site.
Fleurie is as always a lovely friendly place to visit, and we will return.
Very busy site with a lot of overnight stays and the use of the cabins by the pickers for the "vendange".
Excellent location for walking and cycling direct from the campsite to explore the Beaujolais region. One new sanitary block but the other block was rather tired but clean. Good motorhome emptying point and also water on every pitch.
Super site, very good pitches. Site very well looked after, reception very welcoming. Good wifi, free !
Sanitaire immaculate , washing machines clean and new.
Swimming pool good, not heated, but as the sun heats, I'm sure the pool will too.
Would recommend this site to everyone.
Stayed here on our way south it's a bit out of the way and sat nav wanted to take me under a low bridge, but I was towing a big boat
Once on site we where given a big pitch so we could stay hooked up.everything else was very nice so worth the effort
