Le Grand Calme is situated in the centre of Allemont, the last village before the Glandon and Croix de Fer cols. Views of the surrounding mountains from the spacious pitches.

Travelling party: Couple

We hadn\'t planned to visit this area but decided to detour for 3 nights and ride a few cols on the bikes so Le Grand Calme was a last minute decision and it was perfect.Access for our 12m Truck and 5th wheel combo was fine and we had the pick of the campsite. Large grassy pitches with fine views. Toilet facilities were spotless and appeared as new. The owners were friendly and helpful.
We\'d be more than happy to return for a longer period and ride more of the cols.

Travelling party: Seniors

Lovely, clean campsite. Excellent free WiFi, here in September as site was fairly quiet. Owners very helpful. Surrounding area great for whole range of sporting activities: VTT, hiking, many cols of the \'Tour de France\', Rafting, excellent municipal heated pool complex in village and a very good boulangerie nearby. Will return in the future.

  • D1091 towards Briançon. In Rochetaillée D526 towards Allemont/Col du Glandon. Campsite is in the middle of the village on the right of the road. Well signposted.
