Lovely little site right by the lakeside (cross the cycle path then into the small park that doubles as a beach). The lake water is crystal clear and not cold at all. The shower blocks are cleaned daily with plenty of hot water. The toilets are also v clean. Annecy is a short bus ride away - numbers 51 & 52 and well worth a visit. There is also a large Lidl close to the site entrance. You may need to arrive early as by 11.30 the site was full.
A lovely campsite situated, as everyone has already said, very short walk from the lake and 4km cycle into lovely Annecy. Some miscommunication about email, but the wonderfully helpful ladies sorted us with a choice of 3 pitches. Very friendly staff. Baguettes etc every morning, few small essentials in shop....cold beer, water. Some pitches looked a little difficult but once in-situ good. Every evening either pizza, chicken etc so no need to cook if you don\'t want to. Good clothes/crockery/washing facilities. We will definitely visit again.
Friendly welcome but some of the pitches a little on the small side. Lovely views of the lake and mountains to the east-from the washing up sinks, made washing up a pleasure! Toilet block was clean (own paper required). Walk into Annecy along a flat cycle cycle route took around 90mins but obviously less on a bike, beautiful views along the way across the lake. Annecy is really nice with canals and old buildings to see. There is a grassed area (“beach”) near the site area through a coded gate where you can sunbathe and swim in the lake. Free WIFI outside/near reception. Lidl five minute walk and Carrefour about a mile away for fuel and also did Campingaz cylinder exchange. Would stay again.
Stayed at this site due to its proximity to Annecy, the reception is closed from 1130 until 1500, its a shame the staff didn’t use that three and a half hours to maintain the site, grass on the pitches could be cut periodically. The big negative for me was the lack of traditional toilets, one toilet to be precise, all the other toilets are the hole on the floor things, on a number of occasions during our week long stay men would queue outside to use this one toilet while the other things stay unused, however the site was always full during our stay, my guess is that has more to do with its location than the site itself.
Excellent campsite with cycle route just outside used frequently during our stay which was a couple of nights on the way to Mont Blanc tunnel and a 4 day stop on the return 6 weeks later. Very helpful staff when our friends had an issue with keys tried everything they could to resolve the issue. Kayak, bikes and paddle board for hire on site. Cycle route allowed easy and safe access to all the places around the lake. Great market in annecy for food and liquid refreshments
Excellent Campsite. Showers/toilets always clean and plenty of hot water. Pitches vary in size from small tents to large motorhomes so it is necessary to find the one that suits you. Access is generally good and levelling seldom required. A variety of food trucks call each night and the Chicken Rotisserie is super value. Bread and Croissants available daily without ordering. Reception staff always cheerful and helpful. Reception closes 11.30 to 15.00 but gates open and you can take any unoccupied pitch not reserved already with a red traffic cone. Higher pitches have lake/mountain views and most have mountain views. Good sun and shade on pitches. Direct access onto 40km cycle track and into meadow on the lakeside with small beach for swimming. My only criticism would be the dish washing area...plenty of sinks but very small draining boards. Plenty of waste and water points. Electric is 8a outside high season not 4a as advertised. All round a very pleasant, picturesque and well run site.
As previous reviews pitches mainly sloping and very tight but adequate. Best to find a pitch before driving in. Very helpful staff pizza van on site in evenings. Toilets clean but not enough English type. Close to lakeside and beside the cycle path to Annecy although we decided to take a bus which is pretty good and convenient to the site. Lidl about 400m from the site.
First class location right next to and overlooking the Lake. Access is easy off the Albertville road. There was only one toilet block open when we were there and it could get very busy. This problem will be solved if they open the other block.
Staff were very friendly and were a great help to us when my Wife fell ill.
We were able to walk on foot and choose our pitch which was good. Most of the pitches aren't level and not easy to reverse a touring caravan on. Thank goodness for movers. Lidl Supermarket within easy walking distance and bus stop outside Lidl.
We stayed here 5 nights at end June. Lovely location & made very welcome by owner & were given a choice of pitch to choose from which we were advised to do on foot before driving. We soon realised why as the site is set in terraces on a hillside. This isn't a problem once settled in. Plenty of water supply points. Shower facilities tired but adequate, but number of WC cubicles need to be increased.
Location very good for Annecy, there is a cycle path right outside which takes 20mins into the town. Bus stop & Lidl supermarket nearby. Bread & basics available on site no need to order. Lakeside sunbathing (on grass) & swimming just across cycle path, beautiful view of lakes & boats etc. has small menu of snacks with excellent pizza.
Some traffic noise can be heard at times from parts of campsite but this didn't bother us.
Out of 3 sites we have seen on this side of the lake, this is the nicest, smaller than the others but with personal touch.
The staff were very friendly and approachable.
The site is in a good position with direct access to the cycle path and a local beach. Annecy was an easy 1 hour walk along the traffic (but not cycle) free path. Although the cycle path does not go completely around the lake it is a fairly easy ride all round assuming you don't do as I did and take a detour along the footpath through the National Park forest directly on the opposite side of the lake to the site! There are steep inclines and descents!
Pitches were of varying size but some had a very good view of the lake from the terracing.
We would come back here in the future.
