General information

Camping du Sevron is a campsite with 56 touring pitches. During low season, between 01-01-2019 - 07-07-2019 and 25-08-2019 - 31-12-2019, the nightly rate is €16,- at one of the 56 touring pitches at Camping du Sevron in Saint-Étienne-du-Bois (Ain). At this campsite you can not only use your CampingCard ACSI for inexpensive camping, you can also use your ACSI Club ID (as an alternative ID).

An ideal transit campsite in a green setting on the edge of the town centre, in a typical 'Pays de Bresse' environment. The campsite has sun and shady pitches separated by hedges. Remarkable: the Camping du Sevron is managed with enthusiasm by a very young campsite owner. Free wifi on and at the reception.

Travelling party: Couple

We have been there 5 days; wonderfully quiet and a beautiful pool.

Used for one night as a stop over on our way down to Italy. It was ok. Pitch size was good, free WiFi at reception.

Well, where does one start. The good points , easy to find, toilet facilities were clean. The bad...no staff on site so no one to guide you to a pitch, in fact someone came then went again arriving an hour later and the welcome was poor. The pitches are mainly grass and with the staff absent we had no idea where or if there were hard pitches. Most looked rutted and still soft so we with two other larger motorhomes ended up in the car park in front of a mobile home. Not too bad if they didn\'t turn up but they then did. The owner had said we were ok to park there. The toilets had no paper in the cubicles and no toilet seats. If a site opens early it should make sure the pitches can be accessed and the facilities if not fully open are sufficient and of good standard, this was not a good experience.

Ideally located for A39 or A40 autoroutes. Good sized pitches boarded by shrubs in mixed shade. Water and waste points handy for all pitches. Young, enthusiastic couple running it welcome you to find your own pitch and see them next day if not manning reception where there is free wifi. Ample showers / wcs And very hot water. The only downside if you are light sleepers would be the noise of the frogs croaking loudly through the night which did disturb some of our fellow campers. Would certainly visit again.

Travelling party: Seniors

Lovely little site BUT a lot of noise from road, even on the plots further away from it. Excellent sanitaire. Tourists are in the minority here though - most static caravans were occupied by workers, and few motorhomes or caravans stayed more than one night, which is a shame. Good, inexpensive restaurant opposite the site, next to an excellent eco museum. Can walk into the small town by a back road that goes along the side of the campsite. The streetlights on site were not working when we were there. The sanitaire (and toilet emptying) are up a set of steep steps. Mostly grassy pitches with a picnic bench on each.
