Do I really want to say how much we loved it here, it might encourage too many people to visit and we won\'t be able to get a pitch. We visited Les Mures with the intention of staying for four nights but had to drag ourselves away to make our way home after 14 nights. The toilet facilities were spotless, staff friendly, great location on or near the beach, superb reasonably priced bar/restaurant and takeaway with entertainment once a week. Made some wonderful friends here too. The only problem we had was with the ants but the staff were there to put powder down and spray and also gave us an ant trap for the inside of our motorhome \'just in case\' and they moved us to another pitch. We stayed on the road side as we thought the pitches looked bigger, lots of room and very spacious. We visited St Tropez, St Maxine and of course Port Grimaud which is beautiful and the little train ride to Grimaud is well worth a visit also the boat round the canals. We loved it here and can\'t wait to visit again.
Lovely locatio n, fabulous food, nice beach right on site. Perfect size site for our large caravan.
Great site right by the beach. Big site with plenty of atmosphere to it. Friendly helpful English speaking staff. We stocked shop although a little pricey (as would be expected?). Pitches vary in size and are quite close together.
Good site. Scottish chap on reception called Andy very helpful. Little more commercial than been use to but lovely meal, very easy site with good supermarket and nice walk to port grimaud.
As so many have said, this is a lovely site across the road from sandy beach. Good facilities and friendly staff, we did see it is very expensive to stay July/Aug. Good shop on site and easy 10k cycle to St Tropez or bus stop at gate. Port Grimaud is also worth a visit and nice walk from site along Beach. Would recommend
A well appointed site in an excellent location for cycling into st tropez ,port Grimald , and st maxime. Staff were excellent. And easy access to the beach.
Great value for money.
Loved loved loved ! lucky enough to get pitch on sea side of the road. A few seconds walk from beautiful beach and azure sea. Had to cycle to loos and wash areas but it was worth it. You can pitch other side of road in green area. Some had ant issues, that's just nature. very peaceful. security in day and gates closed at night. 30 mins cycle to St Tropez, 20 mins to St Maxime and to port grimaud. Wonderful.
We stayed in \"forest\" part of camping. Facilities are new - on the beach part showers are better (water is actually flowing instead of mixed air with water). To road is very busy and close to both parts of camping. Cycling path to Saint-Tropez in front of campsite. Nice playground. Well equipped shop and good food in restaurant.
I agree with previous comments relating to the staff and the facilities. Both are of a very high standard and if that were the only criteria for judgement, I would judge this site as superb.
Sadly however, that is where the good points end. The pitches are on the small side making you feel cramped in and too close to your neighbours. Added to that, our pitch had a tree and roots of others close to the surface making getting the caravan in and then level hard work. Getting out was harder.
The roads around the site are narrow and winding making towing even a medium sized van in and out quite difficult. Whilst we do have a largish car, our caravan is just over 7 metres long but manoeuvring was a major challenge.
By far the most difficult thing to deal with for us was that the site was crammed to the rafters, mostly with Germans who transmitted the attitude that the place belonged to them and that we British were intruders. (This had absolutely nothing to do with the staff). We are friendly people and always greet people. We found their attitude to us extremely difficult to deal with and caused us to not only leave Les Mures early, but abandon our plans to stay on this part of the Med coast. As it happened, I went to reception to explain that I was leaving earlier than planned and another Brit said that he was leaving early too saying \"If I wanted to live amongst Germans, I would have gone to bloody Germany.\"
We visited the site in September and had emailed prior to request a pitch as our motorhome is 8mtrs. When we arrived they were unsure if we could fit on a pitch as our motorhome is 8mtrs and we had a bike rack on the back. We indicated that we could take the bike rack off and they told us to have a look at a couple of pitches and decide if we could fit. There was no problem and we fitted easily even with the bikes on and with room to spare. we stayed on the road side as the pitches are bigger and if you go on the outer edges they are bigger still, in the middle looked very cramped. On the beach side was all very nice but you would have to have one on the beach to have the benefit and again these were cramped. The site is very big but the facilities are very well maintained with cleaners working all day and well into the evening, plenty of hot water. Location of the site is very good with the cycle track outside the front gate where you could cycle to St-Tropez and Grimaud the one way and St-Maxime the other way would recommend if you want to visit the area.
