We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The site is beside the ferry to the islands which are well worth a visit but we felt the extra charge to bring a bike was expensive but they are essential there. Hyeres Centre historique is worth a trip and bus stop beside site. Very little available beach near the site due to private villas.
wonderfully placed campsite. used it, as within walking distance of the ferries to the islands. Porquerolles was incredible and we were able to take our own bikes on the ferry. The little village was great for eating and strolling. Lovely little coastal path for coves. Good sized site, very friendly staff and given little paper bag for recycling with complimentary beakers, lovely gesture. Ablutions clean and modern. Pitches a good size. would visit again. Good security.
Lovely friendly site. Excellent toilet facilities. Small handy shop. Very helpful on site staff. Did not use restaurant with outside seating but looked ok. Shaded pitch, easy access to the shore and ferries to Porquerolles. Handy bus service to Heyres. Nice coastal walks.
Arrived here intending to stay for 9 nights but only stayed for 1. We had really been looking forward to a stay on the Giens Peninsular. The site was pretty full and most of the plots are quite small. We have a small 2 berth caravan but there was not enough room on the plot for the van, car and sun canopy. The water supply is only available outside the front of the toilets which involved quite a long walk from the pitch. This was also the case with waste water and the Chemical toilet emptying was almost outside the entrance. For the price they charge we think there should be water taps at each corner along the central roadway. We think the site is fine for motorhomes that can drive round to fill up and empty but not really suited to caravans.
Excellent. The pitch was a bit of a squeeze for our caravan and awning but we managed. Toilet facilities were great with masses of hot water throughout the day and very clean. Staff very friendly with a good command of English. Good beaches and good windsurfing! Will certainly come back here.
A little gem out of the hustle and bustle of Hyeres and right next to the med. Friendly at reception and speak good English. Could pick your site. Tight for a big motorhome but we made it. Lovely swimming left or right of the campsite. Great place to explore on bikes. Clean facilities and we had a great stay. Amazing it wasn't busy even in July!
Pitches are on sandy mud and sloping. They are not very big and require some "shunting" to fit on. The sanitaires are superb, probably the best of my touring holiday. Easy access to the sea but not really a beach as such. Just rocks down steep stairs. Good walking straight from the site. Overall recommended for a stay of a few days.
This site is adjacent to a rocky beach with lovely clean waters. Unfortunately has no swimming pool. Plenty of shade.
Good site if you are taking the ferry out to the golden islands
We visited this site for 2 nights in our motorhome, in order to visit the Ile de Porquerolles. It was ideally placed for this purpose, being right next to the passenger ferry terminal. We took our own bikes on the ferry (expensive), but it was worth having them, so we could explore a reasonable amount of the island in a day. Alternatively, hire bikes when you get there. We found a fabulous beach on the island a few km to the east of the only town. There is a pleasant coastal walk from just outside the campsite too. As far as the site itself is concerned, the facilities are very clean and more than enough for the size of the site, but are all near the entrance, so you can be faced with a long walk (or bike ride!) to reach them. The pitches are a little small and on a slight side-slope, but other than that the surroundings are pleasant. We got a very friendly welcome, and lots of help with a problem we had with the 'van' while there.
