Right by town. Very busy site. Restaurant amazing! Pitches good. Pool lovely. Will revisit ! :)
Nearest site to the bustling and interesting town of Cavalaire sur Mer. Excellent bus service for visiting the region with tickets costing only 3 euros.
Staying for almost a week. While we were there we had none of the previously reported problems with water temperature, ants, low hanging branches, pitch sizes and access etc.
Facilities at the campsite were good. WIFI is expensive at 5 euro a day but a weekly ticket is 12 euro. However for paid wifi the signal should be better.
We spent 10 days at this site in September 2014, during our stay we only had two showers where the water was barely warm enough so shower.
Having complained about the water temperature nothing was done.
Some pitches were infested with ants and some motors homes had ants on their roofs and all over awnings.
some pitches are very small and the roads between rows of pitches are very narrow and some have over-hanging branches from trees and whilst we were there a few motorhomes suffered damage from these branches. So be warned.
We had the misfortune of being on this site at the same time as 150 Swiss teenagers celebrating their last night away. If they weren't kicking a ball about they were kicking empty water bottles - a very annoying noise at midnight. Just as they left, on our 2nd night, 2 coach loads of French children moved in and the teachers used claxons at 11.30pm to round up the children from all over the site. The 3rd night the entertainment went on till after 1am, and the ensuing game of football and car doors slamming finally stopped at around 2am. When we complained to reception she shrugged and admitted they had had a few complaints. When we saw the posters advertising football and beer in the bar we knew it was time to move on.The campsite restaurant, bar and bakery is open to the public. There is no security at all. Out of 4 showers we had 2 cold and 2 warm - on alternate mornings to each other. Cavalaire is a lovely town but would never use this site again and left earlier than was planned.
The facilities at this site are good, but our pitch was rather small and tight together with other pitches. All gravel. Close to the town and the beach, but unless you like big and busy sites this is not for you. A typical seaside site, with clean and ample facilities, but too big for us. Free wifi and also takes dogs. The vet right opposite the entrance was very helpful. Lots to see out and about from Cavalaire.
Very friendly campsite. Pitches not great but site good. The town excellent, Carrefour near and plenty of small shops. Very clean town. Lovely pool and jacuzzi, free wifi hotspot, staff excellent. Toilet and shower area very clean.
Great site in the town, short walk to shops, restaurants and sandy beach. Boulangerie and also carry-out on site. Many shaded pitches, sometimes difficult to find one with enough sun in late September! Very helpful staff. Buses from town available to St Tropez. Dogs welcome.
Went to this sight intending 2-3 day stay. Stayed 3 weeks. Everything is so handy. Shops 5 minutes. Beach 10 minutes and St.Tropez 30 minutes. Great value.
Large campsite in urban area very close to town beach. Very helpful staff and well run, but can be very busy during peak season. Pitches just ample and slightly scruffy but site has excellent facilities. Great swimming pool and restaurant. Cavalaire town disappointingly touristy and modern but with Bonporteau beach close by being the best in the area.
