General information

Campsite La Viste is a campsite with 160 touring pitches and 25 year round pitches. During low season, between 15-05-2018 - 29-06-2018 and 01-09-2018 - 30-09-2018, the nightly rate is €19,- at one of the 160 touring pitches at Campsite La Viste in Rousset (Hautes-Alpes). At this campsite you can not only use your CampingCard ACSI for inexpensive camping, you can also use your ACSI Club ID (as an alternative ID).

A high-altitude campsite with good toilet facilities and spacious pitches. Lovely views from the terrace and from several of the pitches. The restaurant is certainly worth a visit.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

My advise would be to avoid if motorhoming as low trees and very awkward access to pitches make it very hard work, great for tents and small caravans....also the camper aire is super tight and right next to a pitch, the poor Dutch families on the pitch gave me a right dressing down because I emptied my cassette in the correct place and complained I was using their drinking tap to wash the cassette! They obviously had never encountered a junior relais before

Not sure why no English reviews of this site but here goes. Firstly the reception is only manned early morning till 10.30am and then from 3.30pm onwards. The lady in reception is so friendly great at English and a special mention for the cleaning lady who although spoke no English had a good chat with me about supermarkets and was always so smiley. The views from the lower pitches are certainly worth the money- in fact you pinch yourself that you are really there seeing those mountains and the lake. Stunning!! Saw an eagle flying after a thunderstorm was very special.
But..... if it wasn\'t in that location this camp site would not really be that wonderful. There is no shop selling the basics. Bread is available from the restaurant for the next day. I have no idea when the grass was last cut it was so long. You are paying top money for this site and it\'s just not worth it in my opinion. Go down to see the dam and the show thing down the slope but they only let you in at certain times and we were there at the wrong time although she was very offhand about it. Did not eat in the restaurant or use the pool but the pool looked great especially for kids. Great play area and basketball court and table tennis tables. Very glad I went and experienced the area but would not return to the camp site as would try somewhere else. ps hairpin bends... say no more... take care!!!
