What a find! Quiet unassuming campsite with wonderful hedged pitches, really clean swimming pool with shade and recliners. Roti chicken and chips on a Sunday with free drinks while you wait. So good we stayed 4 days instead of one.
Quite busy but not nearly full, imagine toilets under pressure in summer as had to wait in am. Facilities good, pitches lovely with bamboo surrounds, good location could walk into town
I don't really know what to make of this site. You arrive there thinking the reception would be at the building by the entrance gate but this is in a state of rebuilding and been in that condition for many years. Where do you now book in? We were at a loss together with other arrivals until someone told us to drive through the site to the other end. We duly did this as we were told the time being 11.30 but found that all was shut and to just find ourselves a pitch! Yes the pitches are ok but not many were available as an enclosed hedged pitch. There is an open field and large Concorde type motorhome homes were just parked as in a German type aire totally haphazard! I went to pay later on in the afternoon and there was one person in the very small dark office adjacent to the toilets that was talking the money. I tried to pay by visa but no it was cash only deal. My receipt was hand written on the back of a wifi code . There were no official invoices at all and I was then thinking if you could have stayed there a fortnight without paying any more as this gentleman had no idea who you were or any indication of a pitch number you were staying at! I should have tried it!
However the village was worth visiting with nice restaurants etc
Yes a bit of a un organised site that suits many people!
This site says it has 10amp electricity it has not, we neaded 10amp and phoned from 250 miles away when we arrived yes we have 10amp but it has not. I you need 10amp do not go to this place?
A pleasant and enjoyable site. The staff are extremely helpful. The entrance can be a little off putting as having stayed here before, the building work seems to have been going on for ages. You need to go straight thru the campsite to get to a rather small office which is manned only at certain times. If you arrive when shut just select your pitch and report later. The pitches are of a good size and privacy is good because the dividing hedges are of bamboo. Toilet fascilities are adequate and could do with updating but are well kept and clean. Bread can be ordered in the office and there’s a small selection of ‘goodies’ The local town of St. Remy is a short walk away and hosts a good market. This is an ideal spot for visiting the Carmargue and Arles with its Roman amphitheater and Van Gough heritage is a must. A good site where we will return again.
Good sized pitches with easy access. Rows E, F and G are close to sanitaires and water. Reasonable walk to both in pitches nearest the road. Reception could do with a friendlier face! Entry looks like an abandoned building site. Reception is through the campsite along a very bumpy road - we scraped our exhaust on the humps. Wifi is ok - better reception in some places around the site. Good TV reception if you aren't in the shadow of the tall trees which act as windbreaks. We will use this again.
We return every year. lovely site. pool finished repaint so nicer than ever. proprietor very nice. One of favourites still. See our previous reviews.
We stayed here 3 weeks.
Pro's: Large hedged pitches: No statics!
Bungalows in separate area.Peaceful.
Cons: Not quite adequate facilities. Clean
enough (just), but poor Showers -
hand-held and no hooks. The "squee
gees" provided are a good idea , but
worn-out and ineffective.
Inadequate rubbish poubelles.
Wi-fi reception very poor on our
