Built on a very steep hill you need to be super fit to climb to the top where the playground and the gym is. I’d only recommend this site if you have good mobility. Pool is nice but certainly not big enough for full capacity in August too many in at one time throwing balls my daughter got hit real hard on the face from a rugby ball and it was full of inflatables even thou it states there not to be used. The showers need renovating they were very dirty the grout was black and the water channel where the water drains was very dirty a bottle of bleach every day wouldn’t go amiss
The shop was well equipped and fresh bread daily. The site puts on two shows a week one in the pool area and one in the restaurant we went to the restaurant one sat down and ordered drinks but the restaurant manger told us to leave if we weren’t eating we were not allowed to stay but the owner and said at the welcome meeting come along for food or just drinks but this wasn’t the case. No where to walk your dog even off site as you leave the gates your onto a very busy main road with no footpath the river opposite is private and you can not gain access to walk your dog so you have to walk uphill about a mile on a very dangerous road to walk yet another long trek down the dirt track to get to the river
The fridge box we rented did not work properly it was facing the sun so was working overtime to keep things cool so it over compensated and froze things that were at the back of the fridge I ended up throwing meat away because it had half frozen it. When we went to pay I was over charged until I questioned it , so be AWARE. All in all I was disappointed in this site after reading good reviews.
Great campsite in the hills away from the bustle of the coast. We stayed 4 days and would have happily stayed longer. Excellent large gravel pitches with direct water supply and good electric. As noted it is terraced and quite steep in places, but easily accessible with our 6m caravan. Staff are great and the local area is stunning in the mountains. You do need a car or transport as there is not a lot to do in the immediate area. The higher up the better for reduced road noise. We stayed right at the top and it was very peaceful, except for the numerous owls, but that is not a complaint. Small shop that gets you the basics only and a good restaurant on site. We were there during the World Cup and the bar in the pool area was open for each game.
We loved this campsite. The staff were excellent. We had a good choice of large pitches. Terraced site but easy to negogiate. Lovely heated pool. Scooter ride up to village of La Colle sur Loup with an excellent patisserie, pharmacies and two small supermarkets.
We thoroughly enjoyed this site, it is well kept and staff are all helpful & friendly. It is terraced but the actual pitches are large and easy to negotiate with views. It is useful for visiting Grasse and the Cote D'azur. The local town Colle sur Loup had all the shops needed and is lovely to walk.
Pretty site with excellent very hot showers and washing facilities. Heated pool was a bonus in May. Looks like it had good child friendly facilities including donkeys. No obvious dog walks from site but if you walk along the busy road you get to a river.
Arrived on their 1st day of opening. Staff were still getting organised but were very helpful. We were taken by golf trolley to view a choice of a couple of pitches which are terraced, large & level. Toilets were kept clean with paper supplied at entrance. Showers were hot with push button operation. Pool, restaurant etc were not open so cannot comment. Good location for exploring Nice, Monaco and all very attractive local hilltop villages. Only negative is very steep slope from reception & sanitaire to pitches that may be a problem for the not so fit. Went for couple of days & stayed for seven. Would definitely stay again if in area.
Very peaceful for us at the end of March. Lovely site, in spite of the steep roads! Pay for wifi but very good constant connection. Better value to buy a weeks wifi rather than an hour or two.
Wonderful owners and staff, extremely helpful.
We heartily recommend this site to anyone who is reasonably fit and active. Restaurant being refurbished during our stay so can't comment.
Lovely site, very helpful staff, clean facilities and lovely pool. Good base for visiting inland from Nice. La Colle sur Loup in as a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely visit this site again.
A pleasant terraced site, which could mean a steep walk to or from the toilets/showers depending where your pitch is. Toilets kept clean. You will be shown 2 pitches to choose from after a ride round on a golf cart so keep in mind the location of the toilet/showers. Easy access to Cannes, Nice & the beaches. Lot to see inland also. Will probably use again if in the area. WiFi good in caravan but is 18€ a week or by the hour..
Just returned from our second stay at this site. Its very peaceful, good toilet facilities, good pitches. Great for exploring the Cote D'Azur and the medieval towns and villages around. Its a shame that its quite a long uphill walk into town, although apparently there is a free bus in the summer.
