Nice site close to hilltop village. The village is primarily a tourist centre selling over-priced stuff, a bit ‘twee’ for my tastes but a spectacular location and offering plenty of places to eat. Some very nice walks in the nearby hills. Plenty of shade but some pitches are a bit tight for a large unit. However, most are level but EHU (6A unless you pay extra) isn’t always nearby so a long cable may be required. Pizza takeaway available on site and some grocery items sold at reception. Excellent sanitary blocks (heated when we were there) kept clean and plenty of hot water. I’d be very happy to stay at this site again.

Returned to this site 6x over the last 8 years. It is a lovely site, great views, great facilities, home cooked pizzas, lovely town with plenty of artisans...challenging and beautiful ride around the gorge. Staff are friendly and helpful, love it.

We visited late in the season (late September) What a find! A really pleasant site with a wide variety of pitches, both in size and amount of shade. Two sanitary blocks that were always immaculate, plenty of hot water and decent shower cubicles. There is a covered area near to reception with tables and chairs and a bar service from reception. Two draught beers, wines, spirits etc all at fair prices. Pizza/chip van on site every evening except Monday\'s again excellent fare at very reasonable prices.
There are not too many facilities for children though.
The site is a short walk from the picture postcard town of Moustiere St Marie BUT it\'s up a real killer of a hill and there is no way to avoid it!!
An ideal location to \"do\" the Gorges Du Verdon (do it in a clockwise direction) and don\'t miss the \"loop\" which starts at a right fork in the road about 1K the other side of La Palud Sur Verdon. Near the top of the loop there are a good few viewpoints where vultures can be seen soaring within about 30 ft of you!! If you come to a \"No Entry\" sign you took the first not second turning as part of the loop is one way (with some justification)
The Gorge road is NOT to be underestimated, it is VERY narrow in places and extremely winding as well. The entire circuit took us 6-7 hours(with a stop for lunch of course) DONT take a motorhome or caravan along it.
But back to the campsite....... It\'s a great site with plenty to do in the area, delightful husband and wife team run it and nothing is to much trouble (Bread available if ordered the day before) I have little doubt that we will be returning.

Everything you read that is positive about this site is so true. From the minute we arrived at reception and throughout our whole stay Madame Christine could not do enough for us always greeting us with a warm welcome and an abundance of helpful information. Her English is excellent and knowledge of the area and the walks superb. Her husband is welcoming too and always smiling, even when we blew the 6 amp fuse. This camp site was truly superb for us. The short hilly walk into Moustiere St Marie leads you to the wonderful picturesque steeped village with superb restaurants (even for vegetarians). The access to the Verdon Gorge and the lake is excellent amongst many other ridge and canyon walks. The pitches are superb. All with an abundance of hedging or tree coverage and most semi private. You don\'t feel on top of each other nor staring at each other. We were really lucky as we chose a pitch with a mountain view ( not all have views due to the lovely trees, but some have a village view or mountain view both of which are stunning). The 6 amps was more than adequate once we worked out what we needed and the toilet facilities are amongst the best we have experienced. Clean, spacious and modern. The cleaners seem to be working all day and can be seen keeping on top of everything. Their little shop whilst dated in appearance has everything you need and the visiting veggie man and on site pizza van means you want for nothing. We came for 2 nights stayed 5, still didn\'t want to leave because it was so lovely and still so much to do. We will certainly be back to this wonderful 3 star campsite. The owners are wonderful.

Fantastic site in excellent location for visiting the Gorges du Verdon. Easy walk from the site in to Moustiers (bit uphill!). Site toilets refurbished very recently and extremely clean! Reception staff very friendly, lady speaks English. Many pitches have a view of the village - lit at night. Pizza/frites van on site - very good. Will return if we come back to this area.

This is a very friendly site within easy walking distance of the lovely, picturesque town of Moustier St Marie with its tourist attractions and many good restaurants. There are fabulous views of the town [floodlit at night] from many of the pitches.
The staff were most friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are excellent with plenty of hot water and always clean.
There is an on-site pizza van with freshly-made pizzas [and chips] available every evening except Mondays, and fresh bread is available to order every day.
We shall definitely return to this site and highly recommend it.

Close to Mousiters which is a steep little walk from the campsite. Well worth the effort as great bars, restaurants and views.
Campsite has a warm welcome and toliet facilities are modern and clean.
Electric was disappointing as we looked in the ACSI book and it stated electric BBQ\'s could be used - except it blew the fuse so we had to revert to gas.
Wifi is free but only for 2 hours. After that is was chargable but not too expensive.
Overall nice stop to visit town, but probably would not stay for any length of time.

Spent 2 nights here on the way south, lovely village and a nice clean friendly site, toilets and wash areas spotless. Pitches are a bit sandy / gravel / sparse grass but plenty of shade and generally well kept

An excellent site close, via a steep walk, to the touristy but delightful small town of Moustiers Ste Marie. Friendly staff, some English spoken at reception, large pitches separated by hedges, plenty of shade for those that need it, spotless sanitary blocks. A great base from which to visit the stunning Gorges du Verdon and the Lac de Ste Croix. We would recommend both the full circuit round the Gorges and the shorter Routes des Cretes. The restaurant La Forge in Castellane offers a great value lunchtime menu and the restaurant Les Terasses du Lac in Ste Croix du Verdon is pricier but serves excellent food with a lovely view overlooking the lake.
