Stayed here for two nights in June 2019. Lovely couple who run it and great spacious plots to chose from. The plot we were in could easily have accommodated two or even three vehicles. The shower block was very clean and spacious with great big shower heads (best I\\\'ve seen in France or Spain so far!).
We were travelling with two dogs and there is a great walk of around 800 meters through the woods and within the campsite, so great for first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Also good walks within the surrounding area without having to drive.
Would definitely stay again if passing through this area.
Only downside was quite a few insects about, but this is to be expected in the middle of the woods.
Many thanks for your review Dave. We\'re glad you enjoyed the new showers! Hope to see you again soon.
Lovely little quiet site
Only short stay on this occasion but we will return
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. It was lovely to meet you and we hope to see you again.
Beautiful campsite hidden in tranquil woodlands. Play area’s for the children and a swimming pool.
Local bread five minutes walk to the village.
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Would not hesitate to go again.
Many thanks for your review Ian. We\\\'re very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
We came back here again. It is one of our favourite sites in France. If you are visiting from England you may recognise the owners from th tv programme \"New life in the sun\". A lovely friendly family.
Agree with all previous positive reviews. This place is very special and the hardworking owners deserve every success. Would like to add that the access is easy for all sized units. will return
Just stayed here overnight, but what a gem. It couldn’t have been easier to find - half a mile from the main road, a short walk to get bread and croissants in the morning, although the owner was willing to fetch bread for anyone who wanted it.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the pitch was very large. The toilet facilities at first sight looked very basic, but appearances can be deceptive - the showers were spacious and much better than the 4* site where we had been staying previously. The washing up sinks were large and the water was very hot.
The sports facilities are free as is the equipment (rackets, balls etc)
Nice rural setting on edge of village with very little road or rail traffic noise. Owners trying hard to develop the business. It\'s not easy when understaffed. Bar prices seemed high but we had recently been in Spain so could be an unfair comment. The toilet block was something that can readily be compared with others of a similar open nature in France with their ever present and ever biting insect population. I had to wash out two showers before daring to use them. No not the insects - the dirt. After report g the situation to the owner who expressed great surprise as they \'get positive feedback on their cleanliness\' he did go and wipe thinfs out that had clearly been lingering for a while. On the positive side he offered to waive the cost of my 33cl lager. I paid for it. Some real effort has already gone into this place but it needs a new toilet block. The luxury showers can only be called such as they have \'rain\' heads as well as conventional risers. I\'m sad to say but also glad to say that I\'ll not be back.
beautiful little site. friendly and relaxing, wish we stayed longer and enjoyed the surroundings. be sure to stock up on supplies, only little shops nearby.
Our 2nd year at this site. The owners Katherine and Henry have worked very hard and improved the site. The pitches are enormous with good wifi coverage. The facilities are very clean and modern. Very hot water is always available for washing up and they have the best showers we ever used in France, a shower tap not the push button type with 2 shower heads in each cubicle. Pool and bar are a great place to socialise or relax. The best thing about this site is the atmosphere and the friendliness of the owners with a \"nothing is too much trouble\" attitude. With all the hard work from this couple they have brought the campsite up to a 3 star rating.
If you are in this area don’t miss a visit to this wonderful site. You won’t get manicured lawns and laurel hedges but you will get a pitch in the woods with lovely shrubs and greenery, lots of birdsong, superb dog walks and peace and quiet.
The showers are large with lots of hot water without having to press infuriating buttons. The enthusiastic English owners deserve every success for the effort they are putting in to make you welcome and your visit enjoyable. It is an easy walk to the village with its Baker and Spar shop.
Thank you Henry and Katherine and your two delightful daughters.
