I loved this small site run by English people very friendly and helpful. Nice but small swimming pool. Restaurant very nice but does not open on Mondays. Cycle path into village which is quiet but nice.toilet block clean and water hot.Toilet paper provided. Pitches good size and have grass.
Although we visited in May the toilet block was not ready for the season and only had cold water. Had to use winter facilities which were actually those for the restaurant - only 1 shower and one separate toilet, so lucky that site was quiet. Didn\'t seem to be any reception or tourist info and no tourist info in town either.
Went for a meal in the restaurant and it was obvious that that was where the owners interest lay and where money had been spent. Campsite facilities require updating, especially showers.
Just spent 9 nights here on our first time out caravanning. Weather could have been better to put it mildly, with rain, high winds, thunder, sleet and snow, but the site is lovely and the toilet/shower facilities good. Stuart and Sara were really welcoming and very helpful to us novices.
The newly refurbished restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the food is great, with very reasonable pricing. The Saint Patrick's day entertainment was enjoyable with a nice set meal and a good band. The Sunday roast lunch was absolutely delicious.
We will definitely be returning but when it's a bit warmer and drier!
We have just had our fifth trip to this friendly site and we always receive a warm welcome. The pitches are a good size and the site is always nice and peaceful and well looked after. The showers and toilets are lovely and clean and are cleaned during the day too.The swimming pool is very good for a small site and is spotlessly clean and the food in the restaurant is excellent value for money, no wonder we keep going back !
Small, friendly campsite in a quiet location. Very helpful staff. Sanitaires adequate with plenty of hot water. Easy 15 minute walk to large village with shops, bars, banks, boulangerie etc. Will stay again.
Great site to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this area. Many town and villages of character to visit. Great friendly atmosphere on site with the staff being most helpful. The restaurant was good value and great food. Pitches level and well maintained. Will visit again!
Very friendly staff, excellent meal - good value, awkward to get to but road diversion to blame, peaceful, quiet, near local village, toilets very clean but only two, pool empty as only March, owner very helpful/friendly, ample dog walking areas off site. Yes, would return.
We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The pitches and shrubs were neat and tidy and were very well looked after. The sanitaires were always nice and clean and the swimming pool was warm, clean & a pleasure to use. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very good value for money. We will definitely be going back.
While the GPS Co-ordinates in the 2015 ACSI Guide are incorrect the directions from the campsite owner when you call are also incorrect as you should be on the Brione road and not the Niort road as you come out of Chef Boutonne.
While the owner prefers to only open up 1 combined shower/washbasin/wc in the Low Season, with 5 or more units on site the hot water does not last long and you can have one very long wait to spend a penny!
I would not return to this one.
The shower block was closed even tho' it was still September. There was only one toilet which included the shower so it was busy for long periods. The shower and toilet were very dirty.
