Lovely camping on the river.Beautifully kept by young couple.
Toilets great, but water could be hotter at times. Canoes ,kayaks free to use.Bread delivered to site each morning by local Boulanger.
Can easily walk into town, but not much choice of places to eat.We used site to go visit Oradour sur Glane.a must.
Will go back

A super campsite with very friendly young owners and a great location. The pitches are all a good size and the site is right in the river. Beware pitches right on the over do not get the evening sun. We planned one night and stayed three. Newly equipped shower block is excellent but maybe the water could be slightly hotter. Only quibble with facilities is that the toilets and chemical toilet emptying point at the central facility block is very near the washing up. Not conducive for either activity! It doesn't stop me still giving this wonderful site 10/10. Good electricity supply, free wifi, everything clean and tidy, bird tables and insect houses dotted around and all within 500m walk of a lovely old town with all the supplies you could want. Do visit the local villages which are all very pretty. A lovely area where you could happily spend at least three nights or longer. We plan to return as it makes a perfect first stop for the ferry. Great value with or without ACSI.

Whilst relatively new the campsite is immaculately maintained and being constantly improved by the young (English speaking) French couple (Benjamin & Dorothee) that have taken on the task of transforming a derelict site by the Vienne river in this lovely small town. Both live on site and are determined to succeed with their venture receiving help from a multi-talented British ex-serviceman now retired.
We enjoyed a very peaceful and enjoyable stay whilst house hunting in the region and would highly recommend this site to anyone visiting the region.
Free wifi, free fishing, free canoeing but for how much longer!
We will no doubt be back again to find out.

Highly recommended campsite just 10 minutes walk from Confolens which has a butcher, baker, etc. Decent sized grass pitches with half-height hedges and trees dotted around for shade. Good quality & clean facilities though 1 point off for no loo paper. Quiet too, just the distant rumble of the weir. Beware the morning toot-toot van selling bread, we suspect they use their van to sell chips too, baguette was OK but croissant/pain-au-choc both tasted of yesterday's chip fat!!

Fantastic site by the river, and a short walk into a lovely old town. The facilities are spotless, and I even saw them cleaning the outside of the toilets of cobwebs every day. Owners are doing a great job, and obviously care a lot about their site. Pitches are a good size, and I can heartily recommend this site. Local area is lovely, and some night cycle routes from the site.

No reviews? I think someone is keeping this lovely site to themselves!
Lovely site, grass pitches, free wifi, new shower block, free fishing and canoes on the river. It's almost like stealing from them!
Go with confidence but, keep it to yourself!
Recommended, highly!
