Good campsite and a lovely town within easy walk of a lovely town. Will certainly stop here again.
Fantastic site by the river, and a short walk into a lovely old town. The facilities are spotless, and I even saw them cleaning the outside of the toilets of cobwebs every day. Owners are doing a great job, and obviously care a lot about their site. Pitches are a good size, and I can heartily recommend this site. Local area is lovely, and some night cycle routes from the site.
This is an OK site next to River Charente. Choose your own pitch. WiFi not available when we stayed due to GDPR rules - I think not!
A nice site, good location by the river and easy access to local village, although it was largely closed when we visited (Sunday & Monday).
Level grass pitches, some might need a long lead for EHU, direct access to the river and good, clean toilet/shower facilities. I’d be very happy to stay here again.
A super campsite with very friendly young owners and a great location. The pitches are all a good size and the site is right in the river. Beware pitches right on the over do not get the evening sun. We planned one night and stayed three. Newly equipped shower block is excellent but maybe the water could be slightly hotter. Only quibble with facilities is that the toilets and chemical toilet emptying point at the central facility block is very near the washing up. Not conducive for either activity! It doesn't stop me still giving this wonderful site 10/10. Good electricity supply, free wifi, everything clean and tidy, bird tables and insect houses dotted around and all within 500m walk of a lovely old town with all the supplies you could want. Do visit the local villages which are all very pretty. A lovely area where you could happily spend at least three nights or longer. We plan to return as it makes a perfect first stop for the ferry. Great value with or without ACSI.
Lovely camping on the river.Beautifully kept by young couple.
Toilets great, but water could be hotter at times. Canoes ,kayaks free to use.Bread delivered to site each morning by local Boulanger.
Can easily walk into town, but not much choice of places to eat.We used site to go visit Oradour sur Glane.a must.
Will go back
Very nice campsite with very helpful staff, good size pitches ,facilities clean and tidy.less than a 5 minute walk into a nice town with plenty of history.Would unreservedly recommend this site
Lovely site by river in a great area for cycling and fishing. Very friendly staff who work hard to keep the site imaculate.
Whilst relatively new the campsite is immaculately maintained and being constantly improved by the young (English speaking) French couple (Benjamin & Dorothee) that have taken on the task of transforming a derelict site by the Vienne river in this lovely small town. Both live on site and are determined to succeed with their venture receiving help from a multi-talented British ex-serviceman now retired.
We enjoyed a very peaceful and enjoyable stay whilst house hunting in the region and would highly recommend this site to anyone visiting the region.
Free wifi, free fishing, free canoeing but for how much longer!
We will no doubt be back again to find out.
Arrived here on 2 July 2017, although the office was closed for the lunch period, 12 until 2pm, the young lady came out to greet us and raised the barrier so we could go in and find a pitch and asked.us to return at 2pm.
We found a pitch right next to the river and set up returning to the office at 2pm...
The price per night in high season is including tourist tax.
The site is very well maintained and when we visited had only a couple of dozen units, the price also includes free use of canoes including lifejackets and you can also fish from the river bank, she even gave me a box of maggots for bait free of charge as well...
A hidden gem of a campsite and only 5 minutes walk into the very pretty town of Confolens.
