On arrival given a map of site so you could go round and choose your pitch. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious pitches. 2 minute walk through campsite to superb beach with safe swimming. Delicious pizzas made on site. Cycle path starts at the campsite and follows the coast to the fishing village of la Cotiniere. Lovely pool and jacuzzi. Despite its size the campsite was very quiet at this time of year.
Our 4th year using this site - this year stayed for 17 nights. Excellent site, staff & facilities.
Restaurant very good.
We will return again.
We stayed here at the end of September 2017. We managed to get a good suuny pitch but many were in shade. Sanitary facilities seemed clean but it was the last week of the season with not many units on site and we got the impression they were not thoroughly cleaned. Access to a dog friendly beach through a coded gate at the rear of the campsite, Nice sandy beach but not really suitable for swimming due to rocks. Swimming pool complex looked good but we didn\'t use it. Direct access to cycle routes from the campsite to villages on the island. Would come back to this campsite.
Just spend 2 great week at this site. All in all a fantastic site. Pitches are spacious, facilities are clean and well presented. Staff are great and very helpful. I can imagine the site would be very busy during peak times but in September, it was no more than a third full. Swimming pool was amazing and the beach is only 250 metres away.
This was our second visit to this site; it is excellent. Most pitches are flat and spacious. You can have shade or sun. The facilities are of a good standard and kept very clean. There is a very good swimming pool complex (which we didn't use, but others were using) and an excellent beach is right outside the gate, accessible without crossing any roads. We didn't try the restaurant, which looks quite expensive, but there are daily take-away dishes available at lunchtime. Our only negative comment concerns the monitoring of the entertainment which takes place on Wednesday evenings, when there is an "all you can eat" seafood buffet. The entertainer finished his set at 11 pm, which is an acceptable time, but the PA system was then left operating and some presumably drunken female decided to serenade the campsite with solo renditions of Abba hits, apparently at will, for what seemed like the next hour.
A well equipped campsite, that had very friendly staff who spoke English. Good facilities, always clean, and shaded pitches. Direct access to the beach, which was part sandy and partly rocky when tide was out - good for looking in rock pools! Our dog enjoyed the freedom of the beach, and the site has a doggy shower too. The only problem is the pitch is dusty and full of bits and burrs, which inevitably stuck to the dog!
A very pleasant campsite with direct access to a long beach, and close to the towns of St Pierre and St Georges. Good sized level pitches with plenty of shade, and several up-to-date sanitary blocks. Pricey restaurant, but take-away pizzas and "plat du jour" available at a reasonable price, even out of peak season.
The beach is not ideal for swimming as there are areas of rocky outcrop, but it is excellent for walking and our dogs loved it!
