Good site for shopping, and getting into La Rochelle. We cycled, but it was not an easy route and we got lost a number of times. you need to pick your pitch carefully, the pitches by the road are noisy and other ACSI pitches are available, so check when you book. Booking is advisable as its a busy site.

Very disappointing! Not 4 star. Pitch quality very very poor. Surface bad. Toilet facilities tired. Pathways uneven. There were 2 dead rats on the pathways, and even after advising staff, no action was taken in the 24 hours before leaving. Difficult to understand the 4 star rating!

Very warm reception, helpful in terms of where to catch the bus into La Rochelle (only a short distance by Hyper U). Facilities were fine and clean. Bit of a faff getting in as everyone is given an individual code. Pool and restaurant looked good but we used neither as we were only visiting for one night.

Friendly staff on arrival. Very clean toilet and shower block. There is a boulangerie right outside the main gate and next to that is a center commerciale with many shops and supermarkets. 5 minutes from campsite is the bus-stop for the bus into La Rochelle. Really good stop over site.

cold welcome, staff not interested at all. obviously near the end of the season and we felt like an interruption to their conversations! They did not look up when we walked in for quite a few minutes… busy chatting amongst themselves. The showers were very dirty and not cleaned during our 2 night stay. it was very wet weather but even so it was not good at all. location was good near the bus stop… but again they did not offer this information we had to find out for ourselves. would NOT visit again. so disappointed

Were were told that the only plot available was next to the very busy road which we took as we had been travelling all day. It turned out talking to other campers that there were plenty of pitches near the pool and sanitary block and not next to the very busy road. ACSI user\'s all seemed to be given pitches by the very busy road. The toilets and pool were very good we didn\'t try the restaurant . We caught the bus into La Rochelle which the staff gave very bare information on where to catch it but the leaflet they gave us was better.

The site is only 5klm from a beautiful town which was well worth the effort getting there. however the hype about how great the camping is was a bit exaggerated for the following reasons. Not a good site for dogs as no bins for waste

Perfect site to visit La Rochelle. A bit rustic but adequate for most travellers needs. It is close to a commercial area which we find very convenient with all sorts of stores, restaurants and 3 or 4 huge supermarkets and to get reasonably priced fuel.
Good pool and snack bar/restaurant.
La Rochelle is stunning. Will be back, insha\'Allah.
