Called at this campsite for one night on our way south and stayed for 6 days on our return. Approximately 3 hours from the port at Calais. Well kept with a good choice of large pitches. Some of the electric points are spread out so its useful to have a long lead. We picked a pitch beside the canal and could watch the working barges passing by. Towpath outside the campsite is good for cycling or walking. The guardien was very friendly, spoke english and gave us loads of information about the area. A snack bar opened on site while we were there which provided good fast food if needed. The town itself is within walking distance and has a market on a saturday. There is a supermarket close by as well. The sanitaires were dated and maybe the showers could be updated but they were clean and the water was hot. On our earlier visit the showerblock was heated. The surrounding area is really interesting if you want to visit WW1 sites. We learnt quite a bit while we were there.
Lovely small campsite, only stopped for one night as a stop over between Lille and Paris. Staff are really friendly. The toilets and showers were clean and had toilet seats! The local town of Peronne is also a good stop if you are interested in the world war 1.
We stayed at this site for 4 nights on our way back to the Uk, some the reviews we read for it wasnt great so we wasn\'t sure what to expect. We have been travelling for 4 months around Europe and visited many asci sites. This one is great. The bar, staff and swimming pool are great and it really is a great site with cracking pitches. Yes ok the toilets are dated but they get cleaned on a regular basis. We would highly recommend this place. It\'s lovely
A nice stopover site which we have visited 5 times. It does tend to get quite full though by late afternoon. Nice size plots with well looked after grass and shrubs. Next to the canal where you can see large working barges passing. Free wifi at caravan. Very nice heated swimming pool. On the edge of a very interesting town with three supermarkets and plenty of other shops.
Perfectly adequate for a stopover. Sanitaires dated but water hot. Helpful - gardien invited us to find a pitch and set up even though reception wasn\'t open. Receptionist came to see us later. Ground may be an issue in wet weather. There was evidence of tyre ruts indicating that it got \'soggy\' in a downpour. Not a problem for caravans and small camper vans, but heavy motorhomes should be aware.
Short stay here, welcoming staff, pitches good size but had to be careful as to which electric box you were put on some only 6amp. Very nice swimming pool, especially for children with different sections. Toilet facilities slightly dated but clean and hot water on demand. Good site for visiting Thieval cemetery.
We were very disappointed with first impressions of the site after receiving a warm welcome at reception. We are in agreement with the review. The site itself was very badly maintained, grass not cut, hedges and trees overgrown. Pitches were uneven due to ruts caused by rain 2 weeks previous - ie no maintenance at all it seems. Overall the site requires an un-announced inspection by ACSI as it is not up to the required standard. We did 2 tours of the site and had the feeling it was not for us and left without staying. After reading the majority of the reviews afterwards, I sure we made the right decision. What a shame as it is well positioned to see the sites of Picardie.
Used as a stop over in May 13. Staff very friendly. Site not busy. Didn't leave the site. Wifi available near the Office and pitches close to the office. Sanitation block reasonable and water hot.
Badly managed site, no ground maintenance, very poor pitches. Rain could not be avoided but site poor compared to all sites visited in France in 15 years. No water in swimming pool. Site office closed when I left on Sunday morning 26 May 2013. No reply at site house and no reply to the message I left on their emergency telephone number. I emailed asking return my card, say how much I owe incl tax and I will send. Rude reply stated they will not return card until receive money, that they were open until 10am (not the normal time of mid day). Caused me a lot of problems on sites during the rest of my holiday as they had kept my ACSI card. I said they were not allowed to do that as I had given other proof of identity and shown ACSI card but they would not let me stay on site without them retaining my card. They now say leaving site is not an emergency but I did not state the nature of the emergency. Frightening to think what might happen if it was a health emergency. Against the law.
Have stayed here before as good stopover site. Good facilities and helpful staff. Noticed a great deal of new fencing which makes site seem very secure. Security man walking around site regularly. Could not understand this as never seen before however after reading recent reviews seems has been trouble on the site with break ins and vandalism. Don't think I will use again just in case.
