The campsite is beautiful and the grounds are very child friendly. The park and tennis courts are great for the kids but i must stress that the swimming pool is freezing!! which totally spoilt the holiday.
We visited this site at the end of May. Liked site but had a pitch near the pond and a holiday bungalow opposite had 2 Yorkshire Terriers which were out yapping most of the time and even getting out of their fenced plot on a regular basis and chasing round the roads and caravans. Would not return for that reason
Visited early October , staff friendly and helpful, toilet/showers cleaned daily. Would definitely return.
We were very impressed by the quality and spaciousness of this off-the-main-road campsite. Reception was brisk. No dallying inside the reception office. Leaflets were given and a choice of pitch was permitted. The is a small carp lake, where some Brits were sitting around fishing, but the water level was low. Ducks were wandering around the pond at will, but away from the pond they proved not to be a nuisance. The childs play area and swimming pool is gratifying to see and the latter is a great asset. Soissons is not too far away and a good historical town to visit. There is a renovated chateau a short drive away, which is used for the Merlin TV series. Mastercard not accepted-paid cash-no receipt.
We visited in June 2012, staff very friendly, good size pitches & good quality clean toilet facilities. The weather had been very poor but our pitch - just above the lake - was in good condition and the ground free draining. Excellent location for visiting Pierrefonds. We will return!
We have just visited this site in June 2015 and it is highly recommended. A very friendly clean site and also very peaceful. The surrounding area is well worth a visit.
Very Good staff, who keep this site in brilliant condition. The swimming pool was closed at this point, but looked good. Area around holds lots of promise for visiting WW1 and 2 sites. The fishing pond was low in water, but held some big carp, of which I caught a few, up to 15 lb. Very good sized pitches, but make sure you have long electric hook up leads. Bread in morning, Anne shops very drive able . Deserves more than three stars
Site in the countryside, quiet day and night. Site is beautifully kept with fishing lake and ducks. Good stopover site. Good size pitches, flat some with shade.
A very good site nicely layed out with fairly spacious pitches although some were rather uneven. The local geese and ducks with their ducklings were quite charming and very tame . Our friend lierally had the geese eating out of his hand.Toilets and showers are kept very clean. Only grumble was finding the site in the first place and had to resort to Lat & Long numbers from the book to find it. Whilst staying there we went to the fictional Camelot castle at Chateau Pierrefond which is well worth the visit.
This site has recently changed ownership and the lady who owns it works very hard at maintaining it. It was beautifully kept with the largest pitches we have seen anywhere. The shower block was warm, the water was HOT, the cubicles were large and they smelt lovely. Free internet in the games room. Bread can be ordered. We had a lovely pitch at the side of the small lake where we watched the ducks with their ducklings.Despite it having been raining for weeks the pitch was flat and well drained with it's own tap and electricity. A very relaxing site which we were sorry to leave.
