The site was very unkempt. The pool was nice but very small and in an odd position. Main complaint was the toilet facilities which were very dirty and we did not see anyone clean them during the 2 days we were there. Would not go there again.

Travelling party: Seniors

Good location for laon and cycling. Wash block adequate and had a lick of paint but needs upgrade, no toilet paper, poor shower and no temperature control and needs more regular cleaning. Chemical toilet has no clean water for rinsing. Pitches variable, some had recently had a significant amount of sand put on the making them unusable. Some maintenance work seems to be going on so might be better given some time.

Travelling party: Seniors

Very large campsite area with fishing available in pond. Ideal stopping off point overnight as only 2 1/2 hours from Calais by autoroute.

Surroundings nice perfectly located for Laon centre. Think it's an up and coming site with some improvements being made perhaps. No water on site apart from outside reception which is not brilliant. Lake looks good for fishing if its allowed. Check in was bizarre as not much English spoken by the staff and he did not understand my French. Think in two years time it probably will be much improved. I've stayed on better ACSI sites for the same money.

Campsite on the outskirts of Laon. Small pitch with some privacy. Good modern toilet block but with no toilet seats or toilet paper (why? - don\'t the owners have these in their homes?), nice grounds seemingly being developed, small heated and covered pool and bread to order. Steep walking access into Laon, an interesting walled town. Would not return because of toilet facilities.

A nice level site in partly wooded area - informal layout with good level pitches makes it feel quite informal. Reception helpful but not much English. Covered pool is small and in a strange position but as the site develops this make be a different case. Facilities are ok but now in need of updating - clean enough but no sign of methodical cleaning at any set point/s in the day.
Laon is nice and a good 3k walk but does feature one steep climb. Noise from the nearby shooting range was limited and not for prolonged period

Most people only stay one night so there's a lot of coming and going each day - far end of site is a bit quieter in that respect. The only chemical toilet emptying point is opposite reception, so a long way from the far end (can't have it all ways!)

We have previously used this camp for stopovers en route to or from the south, this year we intend staying longer to have a good look around. We've never had any complaints, found that the staff are friendly, spoke far better English than we do French I'm embarrassed to say. Pitches are large and the amenities are fine. Adding the pool was a welcome addition after a 400 miles stint.

Good sized level pitches, friendly staff, clean showers etc, though cubicles were a bit on the small side. Didn’t use oil, but it looked well maintained and clean. Perfect for a one night stop over on way south.

This could be a really fantastic campsite, but as ever let down by its toilet facilities. They have concentrated on building a luxury swimming pool at the expense of updating the sanitary facilities. Lovely walks around the lake and surrounding grounds for the dogs. Such a pity.
