A lovely island well worth visiting. However, despite the friendly welcome from delightful staff, we probably wouldn’t return to this site. The small emplacements are badly defined, and although everyone receives a site plan, some of our french neighbours squabbled over territory, which left the English, sense of fair play, uncomfortable. One dispute wasn’t fairly resolved by the staff member who tried to mediate. She was no match for Monsieur Toxique.
The mixed facilities are adequate and with paper provided which must qualify it for the top price, Along with the beach location, which is visited through the campsite by the public. Hence no security or privacy. A pity, but ideal for large groups and wild parties

Just turned up Oct 4th2017 after 5 hour drive and it was shut! Closed until April 2018. Why was this site on the CC site as being open until October 11 2017? Total waste of my time and fuel. Not happy!

Great stay at end of season - lovely surrounds with interesting walks (and cycleways) along the beach and into Noirmoutier. Disappointingly, cafe shut and unable to connect to free wifi. Sanitary facilities good and up to Huttopia standards: unisex, clean, very functional and with loo seats and paper.

Nice site and lovely location with direct access to the beach. Lovely walk into town with many nice shops and restaurants. Bike hire is available, but electric bikes would be excellent for getting around. Have not seen the bar/cafe open but have always gone out of season. Wifi free by the bar area.
Pitches to close to the road do create a lot of dust from passing vehicles.
A great place to relax out of season. Not much in the shop, but bread can be ordered.

We visited this site last June and was immediately made welcome by the lady on reception We were able to pitch our caravan next to our friends who had arrived earlier and were impressed by the simplicity of the surroundings, it was peaceful and quiet.
The toilet blocks were clean and functional and had the added attraction of a sink purposely for washing the oysters and mussel's we were able to gather from the beach immediately outside the site at low tide.
The onsite pizza restaurant served the most delicious food that you could see being made before your eye's.
It was a short walk along the estuary side into the lovely town which you could also access by bike if required.
A perfect place to stay.
