This was a very well situated site close to a number of nice beaches. Although it was the end of June and the resort was livening up, we found the site calm and peaceful. The pitches are quite large with trees for shade.
There are excellent, we’ll sign posted cycle routes from the site. At low tide we cycled through to Terriere beach which is less affected by the tide. There were two close supermarkets; small but good and there is a Hyper U near in the town.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar serves pizzas and moules once a week. The pizza was good and nicely presented.
This site is definitely worth a stay.
This has been a great campsite, planned to stop for two nights and did seven. It’s not a big site but all the facilities are kept really well Showers and toilet block are great. Nice bar area for drinks and a simple but good menu. Beach just a 10 min walk away. The whole area has a comprehensive cycle path system. Nice play area for young children. The local town has a selection of good restaurants.
Just a one night stop over but a good place to chill out for a few nights. Pitches are excellent (in May) and owners obviously keen gardeners - like staying in someone’s garden. Toilet blocks are in final stages of modernisation and looking very good. Small supermarket next door and beach a good 15 min walk.
What a great little site -immaculate toilet facilities - great little bar fast food available. We were lucky enough to have the pitch in the picture above but nearly all the pitches were a good size. Dog friendly in low season. Good little supermarket next door to site and another about 100 yards down the road. The beach was about half a mile easy walk away. A lot of the beaches in the La Tranche area are dog friendly. We stayed 7 nights so qualified for the discount - very good value for money! Especially as there was free Wi-fi at the Bar!!
Lovely pitch number 18. Good location for town and about 15 minute walk down residential streets to the beach, no dog walking area, however dogs allowed on beach on lead. Wifi extortionate price, 10 minutes free per day. Good cycling routes all around. Good access for large caravan. No English spoken at reception.
This was our second camp site we have ever stayed in since embarking on our 12 month tour of Southern Europe, the first being in England to get to grips with our new caravanning life with a dog and a cat. As a first real stop: outstanding. Absolutely lovely owners; we got lost and we can't speak French and over a halted phone call managed to find out way - so helpful. We stayed out of season, so the area appeared exceptionally quiet - great for us - but can imagine in the height of season, exceptionally busy. Great facilities, a supermarket outside the gate to the camp site and a lovely bar opposite the supermarket (pizza yummy). Wifi is Ozimoziz and therefore you have to pay, but free at the bar. Beaches are beautiful. La Tranche Sur Mer - lovely - apparently the area swells to 100k people in the summer, but beware of your sat nav. I think we entertained the heart of the village when our sat nav took us, caravan and all through the centre - a heart stopping moment or two! Highly recommended camp site and area.
