Ideal site for visiting Abbety Fontrevaud and Saumur. Very helpful staff who made you feel very welcome. Spacious pitches. Lovely heated pool. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it was very popular with other campers. 5 minute walk to the where there was a supermarket, boulangerie plus several cafes and restaurants. A very historic village with a beautiful castle which overlooked the campsite. Do not forget anti-mosquito cream as the site is by the river! I would thoroughly recommend this site.

Excellent campsite in beautiful location. Sophie and Clement were delightful with Sophie speaking excellent English and arranging a vets visit. They were both smiling even though they closed for winter at the end of the week. Chateau was lovely to see and village was beautiful so would definitely recommend

This was a real gem. It is difficult to find in a motorhome so do read the directions carefully as you won\'t get through the town. The campsite is by a stream and it\'s very pretty and peaceful. The choice of bread for the morning and the food in the restaurant were fantastic. The local town was a lovely place to walk around, especially armed with a free map from reception.

Stayed at this lovely site for a second year...on virtually the same pitch down at the far end of the site by the river. It\'s a lovely place but on this years visit we were robbed of our camping chairs, left under the awning. Taken at lunchtime, when many campers were at the restaurant or like us, out for a walk. The staff were very helpful and consolatory, but the fact remains that a low wire fence next to a public footpath at the most remote part of the site means you are a potential target. We will stay there again but keep the chairs indoors when we go out for the day.

Stopped for 2 nights during April 2017. On arrival found a very friendly & helpful welcome from the 2 brothers who run the site. Parked up by the rivers edge taking advantage of the view. Had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent, so much so that we had another on the following evening, had a surprise as it seemed to be fully prebooked but were fitted in with no problem. Again meal was excellent. Village is old and very interesting. Great site for stop over or longer. Would happily revisit.

Visit was late August, wonderful location right by the town. A real gem. Just be careful to follow the caravan signs and not the camping signs of you are a caravan or motor home as the alternative access is not good. Will return.

Close to interesting town, easy walk to good supermarket (if not carrying too much!). Easy access to interesting surrounding area. Well kept level site, though probably busy in summer. Plenty of trees provide shade, but some pitches have sun much of the day. We stayed a week, went to La Rochelle, and stopped again for several days on the return journey.

Travelling party: Couple

lovely site nestled between a river and the lovely old town. Had a pitch overlooking the river. Walked into the town which is very peaceful and picturesque. We only stayed one night. Had a fantastic meal in the site restaurant (all local food and fresh). Great for a stopover

This is our third visit to this site & although we did not stay here in 2013, from the reviews it was obviously going downhill fast. However, on the strength of the review of April 2014, we decided to give it another chance. So glad we did. The new owners are doing extremely well in turning Les Nobis into the site it should be! Don\'t let the 2013 reviews put you off.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

The site has a new owner who are busy renovating and adding new equipment the last owner let run down. They are extremely helpful and really want you to have a great holiday.
We were given great advice and places to buy good wine at a reasonable price.
I would recommend a visit. The toilets have been updated and are spotless. We never used the pool as it\'s not open till May and they were busy emptying cleaning the area. The children loved the play area and want to come back as they know there will be a trampoline on site soon.
I can only say the site is under new management for one month and in that time they have made the place spotless. We never planned to visit as we we\'re supposed to have been on another site which was awful so we left same day and found here.
We have a 7, 9 and a 15 yr old and they were all happy with the play area and free wifi and cycling around.
