Excellent size pitches, washing up facilities best ever because of instant hot water, lovely and clean, good position to town and very friendly, peaceful right next to the river good for fishing. The restaurant, bar and pool were not open when we visited but not a problem for us.

Just spent 2 nights at this lovely quiet site, and wished we had stayed longer. The toilet/shower facilities were very clean. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting with a problem we had with our motorhome. Good motorhome point. Nice location on the river loir, good for walking. Didn't get chance to try it for cycling but will do next time.

Very good overnight campsite, with supermarkets etc about a mile. The town of Durtal, is an interesting, and picturesque one, but a lot of shops are closed. The riverside site, is pretty, with a fair amount of spaces. Facilities are adequate, reception and staff very good. The restaurant was closed at this time, and the swimming pool is a municipal one. The river is fishable with a charge for a permit at the reception, but it is not worth it. Didn’t see even one fish caught.

The location is beautiful, and sits on the banks of the river and within sight of the chateau. Access is good, the staff are polite and helpful.
As with many sites in France the office is closed for lunch, so we needed to wait until 2pm to gain entry, nevertheless the pitches are large and rectangular.
We would recommend this site.

lovely site with roomy pitches that are marked by hedges. site borders the river with access to the riverside path and short walk into the village and chateau. across the river is a water meadow which is good for the dogs
toilet block is adequate and showers ok.
unfortunately - no fault of the owners - there were some very noisy people who appeared to either be arguing within their group, arguing with other groups of people or just their way of communicating. they'd also fish the river opposite my pitch and leave a mess every night, as well as being noisy.
the town is small, but a lovely boulangerie and bar

We had an overnight stay here on route to the Ile de Re. Nice campsite and our pitch was right on the bank of the Loire. Peaceful site close to Durtal town centre. Very reasonable price.

Did an out of season overnight stay. Large site, so must be popular in season. The location is delightful with a lovely stroll into Durtal and the Chateau is open on a Tuesday. Restaurant/bar closed early in the week out of season so couldn’t test. Really nice. Score appears low as we could only give a neutral rating for the things that were not applicable to us.

lovely quiet campsite on the banks of the Loir river (not Loire). Impressive chateaux in town where you can get a guided walk around. Good size pitches with hedges around and great tree cover for when it\'s hot. Good for a stop over or longer if you want to explore the area.

What a gem of a site. So French and tranquil, with hedged pitches and right next to a lovely 10 river walk into Durtal,beautiful small village with a chateau. Access through secure gate from pitches or main entrance. We hope to stay longer next year.
