Good size pitches, a little unkempt.
Some road and railway noise. Easy 15 min walk to nice promenade in small town with a good choice of restaurants
Vet at campsite end of town.
Basic little campsite and no complaints re facilties. Walking distance 2 minutes into Wimereux. Plenty restaurants etc. Lovely promenade and well worth a visit either going to or coming from Calais.
We were referred here as our chosen site down the road had gates which did not open till 08.00 hrs and we had a ferry at 08.20! It is a basic site but we have stayed on worse and to be fair it was the end of the season. Pitches are relatively flat (bottom field recommended) and the washroom facilities are acceptable. The sign saying they are closed from 10.00 pm to 7.00 am needs checking as they were open during our visit. Quite expensive for what it was but they have an exit policy of \"from 06.00 hrs by arrangement\" so we were able to get out 8.20 am ferry. For that reason only would stay again
Campsite in convenient location near village with plenty of shops . Nice promenade to stroll down sea front . However I will never return to this site the sanitary facilities are disgusting. No implements to clean the showers after use & the showers are abysmal they work on a sensor which is absolutely useless. This is a 3 * site but is well below that rating more like -2
Good stopover site, sanitaires clean and functional. Wifi expensive, resort very tired and scruffy. Would use the site again as a stopover only
Stayed here en-route to Calais, for 2 nights. Payed for 24 hours of internet to be told it only works in a small corner just outside reception - and then skype didn't work. Pitch was large and quite private. Toilets and showers clean. The sensors in the showers are quirky but there is no way of regulating the temperature and was too hot at the end of the shower!. It also activates the shower if you get your towel too close to the sensor whilst drying. The nearby vet was extremely pleasant and accommodating.
Nice big grassed pitches with tap and electric on each. Beware if you are a light sleeper as road one side railway line other.
Showers work well once you realise they are movement sensitive. Toilets have no seat or paper.
We will definitely use this site again facilities very good and clean, short walk in to the town were there is lots of things to do plenty of places to eat and drink and a good prom to walk on or sit and watch the world go by roll on next year about half an hour or so from Calais.
We have stayed at this site several times.its a perfect stop over, easy walking into town, good for vet on Rue Napolean.good food in town also shops, walk along the Dunes with lovely view of Bologn and wimereux. A visit to the German Bunker was brilliant, and the British cemetery was sad and inspiring.all in all a fair site.some pitches are a bit tight to get into, and the shower sensors are fine with a bit of tissue stuck in the hole.
A great base for visiting the delightful town of Wimereaux.
I spent my last night there en route home via Calais - there's a vet within walking distance of the site,
The pitch was huge with hedges which provided plenty of privacy. Although this site is basic it is perfectly adequate and I would definitely stay here again.
