Just the usual overnighter last night. Friendly staff and terrific meal in the restaurant, however the sanitary facilities have changed little since 1999 which is strange given the move to 5 star rating. Whilst other aspects are important for longer stays sanitaries are top priority for however long the stay.
Going through showers/toilet areas to wash up is not acceptable these days.
The night before we stayed in a 2 star site which had far superior sanitary facilities.
A lovely clean site .the staff were very helpfull.a very nice area, very handy for the channel tunnel and ferries.
We stayed here a year ago and didn't have a great time but the handy location, 15 minutes from the Eurotunnel terminal, drew us back again. Unfortunately we encountered exactly the same problems as before. The maze of showers and sinks are cold, dirty and old. Certainly a long way from the 5-star facilities that the site claims to have. In fact, these were the worst toilet blocks of all the 7 sites on our trip. The pitches themselves were great, grassy, marked with hedges, plenty of water points etc. however, as with our last visit, we were kept awake at night by loutish behaviour from other campers. I suppose the site suffers as a result of its easy-to-get-to location from England but a fair few of the 'campers', particularly in the numerous Eurocamp tents, were just there to get very drunk on cheap drink. I've seldom felt so ashamed to be British. We won't be back again.
We have stayed twice on this site but would only recommend as a transit one. Ideal for a stop over on the way in or out of France. Like most other comments we found it rather expensive, the toilets are in need of up-dating although cleaned twice a day they still looked grubby. Will probably use again, but only as a stop-over.
The best site I have ever stayed at; site spotless, toilets spotless, wonderful food at the restaurant, town within walking distance and Calais only a short drive away.
A fairly large site ideally close to ferry and tunnel terminals. Pitches were on grass and flat.
Electric points were a mixture of standard and continental sockets.
Shower/toilet facilities were a little tired but adequate. (Free hot water). One facilities block had no signs so not sure if male, female or unisex which was a bit confusing.
Restaurant, bar and shop on site as well as indoor pool. Motorhome service point and chemical disposal point.
The Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. A very convenient site for quick access to the ferry. We stayed for one night on our way to the UK. Ideal! Beautifully kept pitches and excellent facilities.
Bit more expensive as the ACSI discount had expired, but then the facilities on site are pretty good. The site is well maintained, and landcaped, water and electricity points easily accessible. We used the pub/cafe, food was cheap and fair/good quality and quantity. There is a proper restaurant site for which i had great reports. The site is handy for Calais - Ferry, Tunnel, Hypermarkets etc. Clearly very much in use as a stop over from/to France as the vast majority of number plates were GB. Would use this sit again. Though preferably during an ACSI applicable period. Bread etc available on order, small shop with essentials, pool, table tennis, tennis etc etc, toilets and showers etc were excellent. Reception very helpful, stamps - posting cards for you, wifi is a bit of a pain, signal was poor for our phones/ipad - but fine for the netbook, also for short stays - if you pay for 12 hours the clock starts ticking the minute u log in and keeps running for the 12 hours. 9/10 very good site
On a small pitch with a large van despite booking nearly a month in advance. The pitch flooded when it rained.
The noise at night was definitely unacceptable with people staying in the rental tents and statics being particularly noisy.
It was useful for the ferry, but will not be returning as it was expensive, and not very helpful staff.
Only good thing is handy stopover as close to Calais. Charged more than other sites for daily tourist tax. Staff could be more friendly - not one smiled. Better sites available at cheaper rates. Close to busy road with many noisy lorries passing.
