We have stayed at this campsite many times and loved it here apart from problems with the electricity. There are lots of walks and plenty of interesting places to visit
There are very few ACSI priced pitches now, we wanted a hard standing and were refused. We are on a premium priced pitch for which we get a small discount, but still pay €3 a night over the ACSI price. We were going to stay for 7 nights and take advantage of the 10% discount for this. Apparently this does not apply to ACSI customers.
Estuvimos solo una noche pero nos gusto mucho. Muy acogedor y cuidado con buenas instalaciones y piscina fantastica para los niños. El pueblo de La Romieu muy cerca precioso. muy amables
Site nearly empty so had plenty of pitches to choose from - reception recommended one backing on to fields. Lovely pool with a deep area to swim in. Beautiful small village 5 minutes walk away. Walks from the site - but too hot to walk when we were there.
We stayed 3 nights in our Motorhome in June. Very friendly, helpful reception staff. Multilingual. We were left to choose our own pitch from a relatively small selection of hardstanding pitches. There were many more grass pitches. All were good size and private. Toilet facilities excellent with plentiful hot water and good showers. Short walk in La Romlieu with bars restaurants, epicerie and post office with ATM. A number of pleasant walks in the surrounding countryside. Excellent restaurant on-site. Swimming pool large and well maintained. Free WiFi with voucher at the bar.
Arrived last night and during the vein the electricity tripped 4 or 5 times, the management said they had resolved the problem.
This morning we found that the electricity had gone off again during the night - not amused.
The person in reception gave me lots of excuses including the rainy weather. The problem just affects our part of the campsite and the fuse is apparently 'hot'
There does not seem to be any urgency to solve the problem - just excuses
Although shut allowed to stay 2days early by lovely friendly owner. Excellent facilities, good WiFi,interesting nearby town, collegiate church and restaurants. Most highly recommended.
Excellent campsite.Staff very helpful. We found the walking maps available from reception very good.Five minutes from the stunning village. Will definitely return at a later date
We spent 3 nights at this site. From the moment we arrived the welcome was delightful & all the staff that we met were friendly & cheerful. We had lots of choices of pitches & were happy to put our 8 metre camper on an area which was easy to access, with firm ground & a group of goats, a donkey & a small horse in the field close by for entertainment. Also- a view of the countryside. All pitches seem large & have lots of space. The nearby town of La Romieu is attractive & interesting with a small local shop. We did stock up on provisions before we arrived however. Our main reason for visiting this site was its access to walks from the campsite. There is an excellent folder full of maps of these walks which you can take with you for a €2 deposit. The town of Condom is only 10 kms away. We would return here & I'm sure there would be even more to do here once all the entertainment is up & running later in the season.
A large, professionally run site which is overall an excellent place. I was disappointed that the wifi costs e7 per day. I believe this should be mentioned in the guide. Great for walks and cycling, very close to a nice little vilage with two good restaurants, a baker and small grocer.
We enjoyed our stay at this campsite, everyone was helpful, lovely restaurant, bar and pool. We will return.
