This little site is superbly placed for visiting the Gorge du Tarn. There are several other sites nearby but none would have the stunning views that Papillon does. Neither would they have Hans and Annette! They run the place by themselves and keep it and the facilities inmaculate. Hans has a great sense of humour - luckily Annette is very sensible! We stayed 10 nights during the heatwave that was June in France this year. Our only problem was the lack of shade - but it\'s difficult to have shade AND fabulous views. Yes, all the other campers were Dutch, and yes, you do have to pay in cash, and yes, you can hear trains in the far distance. On the positive side all the Netherlanders speak excellent English, there are ATMs around and the trains are not intrusive. Life\'s a compromise - enjoy the scenery!! Brilliant stay. Thank you Hans and Annette. Let\'s hope you get a few more Brits to stay - but not too many!

A very well run Dutch site. Wonderful views from all pitches. Disappointed the restaurant was only open on certain nights. Would love to stay again and would consider it for an overnight ear of longer stop.

I have reviewed this site already as my wife and Ioved it. Fabulous views from every pitch with very friendly owners who I suggest should have warned us that they do not accept payment by card. In my previous review I neglected to warn those with large caravans (usually that means the English!) that the access to the site is one of the most difficult we have experienced in France. You have to drive through a village with very narrow streets. We managed it with our small car and caravan but would not like to do it with a larger outfit. Once on site we found the pitches were mostly small. Ideal for the Dutch who generally avoid large caravans.

This must be one of the best sites we have ever been to in France. We were given a warm welcome by the Dutch owners. We did find it odd to be the only English couple staying here, all the other campers were from Holland. We had a lovely pitch with a fabulous view. Every pitch has a lovely view as the site is terraced. One minor negative to mention is that, when I went to pay, I was told that they do not accept payment by card of any description. Why not tell us this when we arrived? There was no mention of that simple fact on the piece of paper we were given explaining about the site.

You couldn\'t wish for better hosts than Hans & Annette. Very friendly and helpful. Peaceful site with lovely views. Also lovely walk down to river with beach. Excellent bread and croissants delivered to site. We decided to visit during May, at the beginning of the season, as it would be quiet. Some lovely drives up the Tarn and near to Millau. A plus is that campsite is not surrounded by lots of other sites which makes it unique.

This is an absolute gem of a site if you like peace and quiet, and a wish to experience the amazing Gorges Du Tarn area. Every pitch has a jaw dropping view of the valley. The toilet block is modern and very clean. Hans and Annette, the owners, will provide you with all the information you need for a special stay if you want to walk, cycle or tour by car. We will be returning in 2015.
