Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here for a couple of nights on our way south. The pitch was quite small for our campervan and drive away awning, we had to practically use the whole area. The electric cable had to be weaved through bushes and other pitches but that was fine, it offered the opportunity for a little chat with our neighbours. We didn\'t use the pool but it looked very nice. The toilet block behind the bar was really good and clean. The other block not so much, but didn\'t need to use it. The bar area is nice for a sundowner, the food looked very good but we didn\'t eat there. The location is great for the very pretty town, just a short walk up the road. We had our road bikes with us but the weather wasn\'t great so we didn\'t cycle in the area. The Tourist Info will give you cycle routes but you need to travel to get to them. We could have possibly found some suitable roads but didn\'t hang around long enough to find out.

Stayed here late September for 2 nights on our way back home. Nice quiet site at this time of year with most people seeming to use it as a stop over. The toilet/shower block was kept very clean but was up a slope behind reception which some people with limited ability I think might find difficult. There was another old block which wasn\'t in use except for the toilet emptying point. May need an extra long electric lead. We had to move pitch because our lead wouldn\'t reach on the first pitch. Nice town, various shops, many selling very expensive copper kitchenware etc. I think it\'s the copper centre of France! From junction 37 off the A84 we missed the turning into the car park & had to double back but once you know where it is (look carefully for the signs!) it isn\'t a problem to drive through the car park. We would stay here again if in the area.

Excellent as stopover or for a few days. Very clean. 5 minutes from town.
Pitches well laid out very quiet. Bar/Restaurant very good and reasonably priced.

Our second her on this site. It is well situated with an easy less than 5 minute walk into a lovely town. Market day is Tuesday and it a big one covering a few streets near the Marie. Toilet and shower facilities are separate both clean and well looked after. Free WiFi for 1 hour valid for 7 days for 1 device. Level pitches but our electric cable had to run across the roadway as others were in use or too far away. Again if you use satellite TV watch out for trees, we were allocated a pitch that stopped our signal owing o the trees. The accueil is open from 0800 to 21.30. English is spoken both at reception and in the bar. In general, a good site owing to nearness to the town and again if you have a pet with you the vet is only a 3-4 minute walk on the edge of the town. Snack bar and terrace is good. Very handy as a stopover on way both north and south on the way to and from Cherbourg.

A very nice site with a lovely feel to it! Situated very close to the town centre / visit to Bell foundry highly recommended. Pitches are a good size with some shade if needed. Swimming pool and south facing decking/ bar restaurant. This site was a real find on our way back to Cherbourg- spent 2 nights and will definitely return. Thanks to the owners Isabelle and Alain.

Very quiet and peaceful site but within 5 mins walk of lovely town centre, great location and easy to find when you know it's through car park, follow camping signs. One way system to get out bit convoluted would ask re best way if stay again! Great toilet block, lovely hot water, toilet paper and some soap provided, no seats. Bit muddy but we stayed in rain! Good sized pitches, surrounded by neat hedges, lovely garden around paths etc. Would definitely stay again.

Such a find, perfect for overnight, but deserves a few days. Everything clean, good cafe and village so interesting and only 5 mins walk.

I can only reinforce all of the previous reviews. A lovely peaceful site, variety of pitches (all of a decent size) ranging from full sun to half shade. Only slight concern is that for many pitches you need to trail your hook up lead across another pitch or across an access road.Nothing (and I mean nothing) seems too much trouble for the staff who are eager to please. Spotless toilets and showers, the block by reception is mixed BUT there are separate male and female areas (no loo seats but paper is provided) The showers are REALLY hot after a while so do be careful! Easy access off the motorway from both Caen and Cherbourg but the access road does look a little daunting (it's through a car park) it isn't bad at all and posed no problem for me with a 13m outfit so don't be put off!Easy level walk into the delightful town with plenty of places to eat. Having said that the on-site snack bar does decent fare at decent prices and there is a bar!
A delightful site, cannot sing it's praises highly enough, it's now listed on my ACSI app as a favourite.

Fabulous site. Very welcoming and friendly owners. Nice level pitches. Superb toilets and showers. Great bar / snack bar. Within very easy walking distance of delightful town. Market day Tuesday. Ideally situated for loads of interesting places. We were here late May 2017. The only other thing I would say is that although access is easy, finding it is not. Entry seems to be via a car park and a few one way roads. Our satnav directed us totally the wrong way despite correct co ordinates. We ended up coming in a totally skewy way down some narrow lanes, but we got here and will most certainly come again. Highly recommended and a credit to ACSI.

A favourite from last year even better this year. The town being so close 5 mins walk with all its amenities for entertainment and self catering. Also on edge of countryside it is very quiet. The new owners Isabelle and Alain are so helpful and caring also working very hard to improve the site. We visited the site in May and again in July on way home. We had a Medical emergency at this stage and they couldn't do enough for us. This site will always be on our "to visit list".
