Warm friendly welcome, large marked pitches, excellent toilet facilities. A large lake and park directly accessible from the campsite. Supermarket within a short walk.
Lovely campsite within walking distance to small town with restaurants bars and shops, clean heated facilities, free WiFi, stopped 2 nights, would stop again.
This is our 4th time on this site in the last 2 years. It is ideal stopover from the Cherbourg ferry on the way south and or north. Ideally situated on the main road for easy access and within walking distance of the town and a Lidl supermarket. Showers and toilets are kept very clean separate for male and female. Hand washing and dish washing are located adjacent the shower room. The swimming pool whilst not too big is very welcoming especially on warm days. The staff are very friendly and helpful and welcome you to their campsite. If you need a vet then there is one that is no more than a mile and a half away and is reasonably priced and very attentive. Would highly recommend this site as a stopover or for longer periods.
Positives: The site manager was really friendly and spoke excellent Franglais :-) The shower rooms were warm and the showers were piping hot. Motorhome area hard standing nicely located with view of lake
Negatives: I couldn\'t get their wifi down at the Motorhome area. Quite a lot of road noise including lorries overnight. No water supply at the toilet cassette emptying point.
Overall a decent overnight stop if you need electric and shower but next time I\'d probably go for the nearby aire
Pleasant site within easy reach of Cherbourg. Very friendly owners who were always cheerful. Easy walk into local small town. Shower block perfectly adequate with free hairdryer to use.
We only stayed one night, but what a really good place to stop at, 10 minutes from junction 40 on the A84, head towards Torigni-Sur-Vire, two hundred or so yards from the town centre on the right hand side. The staff where fantastic, great little bar, The ablutions where very clean and functional. Had a really good bar where you can get a decent meal. The town of Torigni is just a short walk away, Lidl's is just up the road about 150 yards away, great park for the kids to play in, with two boating lakes. The site has a really good heated pool, pitches where large, our van is 7 meters long.
Used this site as stop over both north and south on our trip to the Vendée. We tried last year in June but it was closed as the new owners were not ready to receive campers. This year they were open. A site well located for access to the town of Torigni that is no more than. 5 minute walk. A Lidl supermarket also in town was very handy. The lake that is adjacent to the site is a lovely walk especially with the dog.The new owners are very friendly and willing to helping all ways. Toilets and showers are very good and clean. The pool was covered when we were there owing to the adverse weather but it looked very nice and welcoming. The pitch that we had the first time need a cut of the grass, some were better tended than others. You will need levelling blocks as the pitches slope sometimes in 2 directions. There was a bar/restaurant but was closed at the time of our visit. If you have a dog then this site is very handy for the vet to get the passport stamped for the return to the UK, not within walking distance but not too far with a decent sized carpark for us motorhomers!!
We arrived intending to stay for a couple of nights but it was that good we stayed for four. A great welcome and a great atmosphere.
from the start to the finish a brilliant site, more than a warm welcome from the fantastic hosts who couldnt do enough lovely, pitches large and well kept toilet and showers heated and emaculate, good bar and restaraunt although we didnt eat here.great setting beside a series of lakes which you have direct access to this takes you on a 2k loop back to camp via the town on the way, liked so much stayed another day great.
Stayed here 2 nights in May 2017. Great setting with easy access to lakes with walks around each and via one into the town with a range of shops and bars. Town centre market all day Monday with local products, e.g. honey, vegetables, fish and meat plus clothing and accessories. Grass pitches well screened, sunny and some shade, but can be a distance to water tap or hook up. Our 25 metre cable just reached via someone else's pitch. Owners very helpful and friendly always ready for a chat (in French with a bit of English). Swimming pool looked very inviting but no time to use. Toilets and showers heated but only 2 of each - no problem during our out of season stay. Wash up & laundry sinks with very hot water plus a machine. Recommended for a quiet country/water setting.
