Used to be a better site than now, suffering from a lack of maintenance. Grass and trees are overgrown. There are two toilet blocks, one has been closed from our arrival the other only has four mens cubicles for the entire campsite. The lights in the remaining toilet are switched off at night, not very convenient. We have been bringing our family here for more than ten years, but will look elsewhere in future. Very disappointing
Super gepflegter Platz. Strand mit dem Fahrad und zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Großer Supermarkt 4 km. Abends Entertainment bis ca. 22 Uhr. Teilweise deutlich am Platz zu hören. Nachts ruhig. Keine Ein- und Ausgangskontrolle.
A very nice family campsite with some extras, such as sauna and massage facilities. Local seafront very walkable and some great restaurants nearby, some quite fun such as Charleston. Toilets and showers were immaculate Bar is fun and entertainer tried really hard with uninterested audience. Only bit that annoyed was the silly rule about anything other than French type \'tight\' swim trunks not allowed in the pool. I am 54yrs old and swim well. I was wearing short striped swim shorts and was asked to leave. No problem, I obey rules, but I did ask why and was told that loose shirts could be used for football and so could get sweaty! I was unaware of a football ban on tighter shirts! The inside pool was full of kids, doing what they do in pools. Come on be sensible!
Impressive site, well maintained and staffed with a good vibe.
New toilet block with good facilities.
Outdoor pools quite cool, indoor warmer.
Easy walk to nearby village, which has a few facilities and long seafront.
Good kids play park.
Made for an enjoyable stay.
If a site is to be judged on it\'s sanitary facilities then this site thoroughly deserves it\'s 5 star rating, the facilities are second to none and indeed the site itself is also at a high standard. Mini-Market, swimming pools and Bar/Restaurant are very good. We only stayed one night whilst returning to Cherbourg but did avail of lovely cycleways and travelled to two D-Day Beaches which are easily accessible from the site. No hesitation in recommending this site.
This site is perfectly placed for the D-day beaches and surrounded by history, this being the reason for our visit. The site itself is well looked after although the emphasis is on rented accommodation, the staff are friendly and helpful, the toilet block\'s are very spacious and kept clean but are now in need of some maintenance as a lot of the lights are not working and some of the door locks are faulty. The music at the bar is turned up quite loud but does end at a sensible time, don\'t expect peaceful evenings or you will be disappointed. Not really our sort of site but ideally placed for our need\'s at the time.
A very enjoyable stay at this camp site , very friendly helpful staff and the facilities were superb . Will go there again
A very large, holiday village type place with large number of chalets. Pitches smallish but adequate and fully serviced. Did not want all entertainment facilities but had to pay for them despite never using them! Toilet/showeracilities unbelievably brilliant - never seen any so good! Not a site for peace and tranquility but would suit family with young children to entertain perhaps.
Is within walking distance of small town with some interesting shops and a good beach.
Clean modern facilities but very much a holiday camp type atmosphere. Did not think it was a good idea to have the chemical toilet disposal point in the dish washing area. Very handy for the ferry port and the invasion beaches and museums. High proportion of statics.
