Travelling party: Couple

We stayed here 2 nights and were on the whole pleased. But the toilets and shower area is in dire need of a facelift.

Travelling party: Couple

No loo paper or seats or soap which spoiled an otherwise nice site (why? - this is the 21st Century!). WiFi around the restaurant and pool area. Large clean warm showers with basins in the shower cubicle. Nice sized hedged pitches some around a small lake. Quiet, pleasant site with helpful staff. Easy 20 minute walk into Verdun. Reasonable value for money.

Excellent location. Always pitches available. Pitches are flat and reasonable size - separated by hedges. Small clean pool with water slide. Small restaurant on site (we never used it but it seemed popular. Friendly staff with good English. Very basic shop - order bread/croissants the night before. Very quiet at night. Toilet block is clean with good showers but a bit scruffy round the edges. Small lake on site (not for watersports)

Chosen as a stop-over but very pleasantly surprised as there is much to see - not a WW1 buff so Verdun a interesting surprise. The site feels much like an old style municipal site but the showers have been update, sadly not the water heating system. The site is over three levels and nicely laid out, some pitches benefiting a from lakeside position - saw some fishing directly from their pitch. Reception was helpful with good local map and direction of needed. Bar and terrace very nice, being at the higher side of the site

Travelling party: Seniors

Definitely worth more than a one night stay, even in the rain. There are plenty of historical places to visit in the town which is walkable from the site. Gents toilets definitely could be better but you shouldn\'t be put off by that. We stayed two nights. Wish we had the time to stay longer.p

We stayed one night in our motorhome. Friendly, efficient reception. We were allocated a pitch. This had too much slope for our ramps to level the van. We saw a rat on an adjacent pitch. 200m walk to shabby toilet block. Water barely hot enough for shower and not hot enough for washing up. We walked into Verdun town, this takes 20-30 minutes. There are VTT cycle routes just behind the campsite. We had an enjoyable meal in the popular onsite restaurant, though there were no eggs to make omelette. Bread is available to order. The Verdun battle sites are easy to visit by motorhome.

Starting to look it's age. Needs an update but good site, friendly staff and lovely pitches by the lake.

Stayed here with my partner as a overnight stop travelling back to England. Reception staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Provided us with a map for directions to our pitch. We made our way to the pitch and was pleasantly surprised. We had a pitch right on the lake onsite it was lovely spot. Pitches are separated by high bushes which makes it great for privacy. Shower/toilet facilities were fine shower could do with a little spruce up but it was only a few days before the end of season. The pool area looked very nice. This site is a great little gem. Locally there is loads to see and do and there is a big supermarket nearby. Would definitely recommend this site for stopover or longer.
