This is an attractive woodland style site with flat pitches. The electricity points can be quite far from the pitch so a long cable is useful. The bus stop is just outside and it\'s only a 25 minutes ride into Nancy. The toilets are spotless. The reception is closed from 12.30 until 2pm which is typical but irritating. Traffic delays meant we arrived a few minutes late but a barrier prevents you from entering. The staff member saw us but drove past us on his way out. Our fault but irksome to spend that time roadside after a drive. We ordered bread but a staff error meant it was not available. (Luckily we discovered a baguette vending machine a short drive away.) WiFi was also not available to purchase as the (same) staff member didn\'t know how to get us the code. He did offer to let us use his phone which was very sweet. He was a super friendly guy maybe let down by poor training? My main concern was the treatment of the animals on site. The rabbits and chickens were in tiny cages with no grass or run. I know the French aren\'t known for their compassion to our furry friends but it was heartbreaking to see. This needs to go. For this reason I would never give them my business again.
A nice site in a very convenient location. Close to motorway and with bus service into town from the gate.
Generous well spaced pitches. Multiple toilet blocks. Water available around the site.
Hello James, thank you very much for your message ! See you soon on an other campsite Campéole next year ! Best regards :-)
Only used as a stop over adequate pitches and toilets,no shop or cafe open on the Saturday we were there, it\'s what it says on the tin a good stop over P\'s the Saturday night We were there very close to the site was an unofficial rave going on till 7am not easy to sleep third Saturday in June
Convenient stop-off for visiting Nancy, which is well worth a days visit. Good access to main highway. Campsite is a very popular stop-over with the site becoming full early evening (June) and virtually empty mid morning. Big flat site so providing you stop early probably no need to book if out of the main season. We would use site again for a stop-over.
Good site & ideal for a stop over on the way to Switzerland border from UK Wooded grounds big pitches fair facilities. - nothing special but nothing to complain about - good value with ACSI
Couple in motorhome with dog. First time here. Large site friendly staff. Good sized pitches. Bus stop outside site into Nancy which is highly recommended for a visit. Fabulous old city centre. Would return.
We used this site for an overnight stop returning from Italy. As a small 2-person tent we were given a pitch on an undefined area at the edge of the site under trees. This was OK for oen night but woudl not have been suitable fopr a longer stay. Most of the pitches on the site were occupied by camper-vans and caravans. There was quite a lot of noise late into the night from one of them and again very early in the morning but it's impossible to monitor everyone.
Site on edge of town next to a business park but easy to find & fairly quiet. Pitches all on grass and mostly under trees, but very close together. On first visit we were allocated a pitch but on our second visit, having arrived early afternoon we were given a choice.
Shower/Toilet blocks were modern & generally clean but no floor scrapers or cloths to clean up after you so they did get a bit messy. Free hot water. Reception sold small variety of goods & bread can be ordered for next day.
Bar/Restaurant on site although it was closed on our first visit and we didn’t try it second time around.
Nearest supermarket was 2.5 kms away.
Motorhome service point on site.
A popular site with constant stream of units arriving throughout afternoon & evening. The site appeared to be very popular with the Dutch.
Ideal site for a one night stop-over like us.
Lovely wooded site ideal for Nancy. Bus stop just outside but they were on strike the day we wanted them!!! So had to walk about half an hour to the hospital to catch the tram instead. Clean modern facilities and friendly staff. Oh and chickens roaming freely who were also very friendly AND cheeky, pinching food off the table LOL!!!
Easy to find and access, but with the usual barrier limitations. Large flat area. We were allocated a pitch, but no objections to our choosing an alternative. Adjacent to a horse racing-course, which could be handy if the racing fell on your particular visit. Nancy is the main attraction, and there is a regular public bus service to and from the city. It has its history and a magnificent central square, with many restaurants, but we chose to cut our visit short due to worsening weather conditions. I do not approve of the combined drinking/chemical toilet units, which Campeole seem to favour. I think they should be completely separate units.
