I stayed here for 2 nights on my way south in early September. The location is pretty handy for the autoroute south, or north of course. The location is beautiful, being in a loop of the Moselle and in walking distance to the local medieval village of Liverdun. It’s well worth making the very steep walk up to the chateau and then on a little further to the church square. Be aware that the are minimal shopping facilities in Liverdun other than a shop selling Madeleines, although the is a small supermarket only about 10 minutes drive away. There are also a couple of eateries in the village which are well used by the locals. The pool provided very welcome relief from the afternoon heat and was very refreshing. The toilet and shower facilities were perfectly adequate as were the dish washing areas although there was only 1 block open at the time. I didn’t use the restaurant although I can say that it appeared to be very popular and well used. The only slight negative is the close proximity of a railway line which is in 24 hour use but I didn’t find this to be too intrusive. I would certainly recommend this site to anyone looking for a stopover on that route and would suggest that an extra day to explore the local area is time well spent.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late September. The showers and toilets were clean and the water hot. The people who run the site were friendly and very helpful. We had great views of the medieval town from our motorhome. The food in the little restaurant was simple but beautifully cooked and the atmosphere warm and convivial.
The Moselle river is very beautiful here with the site in one of its loops. From the campsite we could walk up into the old town through lovely communal vegetable and fruit gardens. There is a shop selling delicious madeleines and a railway station from where a regular service takes you to the beautiful city of Nancy - a must for lovers of baroque and art nouveau architecture.

We received a very warm welcome at this popular site. There is a good choice of pitches with regard to full sun or shade. Negotiating the narrow roads in the shaded area does require some care and it would help if some of the lower branches were trimmed. Also many of the trees have several broken branches hanging from them. The pitches are of a good size.
The sanitation blocks seem very new and are bright and clean. Although the site was very full by the end of each day it was very quiet.
We can recommend the bike ride to Toul along the excellent cycle path- around 20km each way.
It’s a steep climb up to visit the old village of Liverdun.
As mentioned in other reviews it is necessary to follow the campsite instructions to avoid difficult access.

Communal shower and toilets, would prefer separate facilities. Toilet paper had to be collected outside of cubicles before using facilities. Hot water always available. Reception staff very helpful. Able to choose own pitch. Tree lined access roads to pitches which provide shelter but also need some pruning back. Swimming pool very refreshing once in. GPS coordinates lead to narrow back road which has a no entry sign. Campsite entrance is through the town left at the lights follow road to sports fields, entrance after on the left. Motorhome waste dump just outside of the campsite. Electric less than 6 amps Live - neutral reversed. The medieval Liverdun village up the hill well worth a visit. Good cycle route to Toul. Mainline train route circles the site, each train emits a loud warning signal (24hrs) which is disturbing in the middle of the night otherwise a tranquil location right by the Moselle. Can order bread to be delivered to the site reception shop. There is a popular cafe on site.

Pleasant campsite adjoining river Moselle in wonderful countryside. Small pool, bar, restaurant with basic menu, bread to order. Modern facilities although overwhelmed by the volume of campers, mainly overnighters travelling south in the school holidays, so not so great in the mornings. Near village, easy cycling along paths and the river bank; great little bar a short way on the Moselle. Probably a more relaxing stay earlier or later in the season.

Lovely friendly laid back campsite on the banks of the Moselle. We only stayed for two night but would have been happy to stay longer. Great cycle paths to Toul and Nancy along the river.

Some noise from the local railway.
Great cycle paths into Toul and Nancy.
Nice wash block.

Well maintained site with friendly helpful owners. Free WiFi at reception. Facilities modern and clean. Several safe cycle routes nearby, including path along the Moselle. Lots to see in the area. We stayed longer than planned. Highly recommended!

Stayed 3 nights - originally 2 - superb cycling towards Toul not so good the other way. Good walking to and around the town from the site. 15 min cycle ride to nearest Intermarche half way to Frouad. A bit noisy from local railway line but you don’t hear them after a while. The only tip (and def not a complaint) is find a pitch not too far from a tap - some pitches like ours was a long walk.
