We have stayed here on a number of occasions. Lovely pitches on different levels. Overlooking a beautiful lake. You can cycle around the lake. Pitches take all sizes of campers, motorhomes etc.
Facilities were good. There are two separate shows/wc areas but there didn’t seem to be any demarcation for male or female for showers etc for some reason, so they did seem to be mixed.
Not that worried me but may be a problem for some. Could not sample the food as restaurant undergoing refurbishment. Will return in 2020 as it is such a lovely serene area.
We left a review here before which was truthful but has been wiped. Owners wife very rude, disabled toilet facilities need a loo seat that stays up and a grab rail in the shower. Wifi useless. First given pitch that it didn\'t work on then code didn\'t work at \"wifi bench\". WILL NEVER RETURN and had been here before and enjoyed it then.
Asked how many nights we said 1 but would have been longer if restaurant was open we were told \"You can turn around and go now if you want!\" Asked for WIFI, we were given a pitch where you could not connect to it from, went to the \"Wifi bench\" and found we had a code which DID NOT WORK!
Disabled loo had a lid which would not stay up when you sat on it unless you held it in place and disabled shower had no grab rail.
Been here for 7 nights and really enjoyed my stay. As others have said well laid out site. Nice high conifer hedge to separate each pitch. Lady in reception very helpful and her husband helpful as well.
Pretty, relaxing site with a warm welcome. Spent a couple of quiet days here, views over lake lovely, facilities good and very clean. Lovely trip to Uzerche, lovely old village walk with from Tourism office.
Only sad thing was that there has been a fire at the restaurant so it was closed and there\'s very little in the village. Excellent night stop from motorway but there\'s more to it than that, would visit again.
This site is excellent if you want a quite stop off while driving through the center of France just off the A20. Next to a lake with good sized pitches will stay again. The restaurant on the lake is well worth a try. if you like peace and quiet with not much to do but relax before you move on then this is the place for you.
Enjoyed three nights here (was only going to be one but the site was nice so we stayed longer!) Relaxed and friendly vibe on the site, the owners were very friendly and helpful, taking obvious pride in their site which is personalised throughout with little objets. Home cooked meals and bar in the family in restaurant with decent priced ice creams!
Spent 2 wonderful days at this campsite. Arrival procedure very straightforward, just pitch at anytime and pay between 1600 - 1800. When we arrived most of the lower pitches were taken and particularly those immediately on the lake. However, we ventured to the upper level where we found several amazing pitches overlooking the lake and campsite from a higher aspect, the views were just fantastic. Separate toilet, shower and dish washing facilities were provided on the upper level, there were also steps down to reception, the laundry and restaurant etc. The owners of the site were extremely hard working and nothing was too much trouble for their customers, one of the best sites we have stayed on in both France and the UK, we will, for sure, return. The walk to the medieval village was steep but well worth it, with interesting architecture, quaint streets and a selection of shops (bakery, small supermarket, hairdresser, pharmacy etc). There was also a pizza restaurant and a cafe.
I was impressed with the Quirkiness of this Site. Lots of quirky items all. Around the site. Reception was Open 5pmto 6pm so. We. Pitched Ourselves then Went To Pay. Lovely Dutch owner. Toilet block had Music Playing, lovely touch. Well signposted from A20 junc 42. Beautiful Site with beautiful views and a Great walk around the small Lake.
This is the second time we have used this site as a stopover. Easy distance from A20 and a quirky feel! We were made very welcome . The office has restricted opening hours but you are invited just to find a space and book in later. Washroom facilities were spotless but could struggle if the site was busy.
