Travelling party: Seniors

A very attractive and tidy site with very friendly and helpful owners. The shower facilities were very good.
Unfortunately it was pouring with rain when we arrived so we didn\'t get a chance to walk around the lake and, as the weather showed no immediate sign of improving, we only stayed the one night but be we will definitely be returning.

Arrived for overnight stay. Easy to find. Good security. Quiet. Sanitary facilities dated, dark, dingy but clean. No toilet paper. Lake under developed, rough footpath. Not a lot in the area we could see.
Also chemical toilet disposal point difficult to find and use.

Really lovely small, tranquil site with generous pitches with hedges in between. Gently terraced in four levels so everyone has some view of the lake. Facilities are very clean and owners extremely helpful and wanting to ensure you have a good stay by advising on walks, cycle routes etc. The site is on a lake with a small beach area and a walk all the way around of about 40 minutes, great for children, dog walks etc. Two kilometres to the town which has all good supermarkets and facilities. Only stayed one night but will come back on a future trip for longer

A lovely campsite with extremely friendly and helpful owners. It is located beside a lake with a wonderful walk around it through natural forest. Large level pitches, very quiet in a picturesque setting. We stopped here overnight on our way south on the A20 and liked it so much we are planning another stop on our return journey

This is a lovely peaceful site in beautiful surroundings. Lots of walking/cycling paths, suitable for all abilities. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We intended staying 3 nights but stayed 10 nights. We definitely recommend this site and intend to return. Convenient to A20.

Travelling party: Group of friends

Lovely campsite with lovely, helpful staff. Just opened for the new season last week I believe so very quiet (suits me!). Ended staying longer that expected due to waiting on a new mobile phone to be sent over from Scotland to the local Post Office in town.

Camping L'Ecrin Nature ACSI 2038 Ambazac 18th to 21nd April 2017
The site is situated by a lake in a nature reserve. It is a easy and pleasant 1.8 kilometre walk to Ambazac where there are shops bars and supermarkets.
The area is perfect for walking and mountain biking with bikes for hire from the site.
There are very picturesque marked trails of various lengths for all abilities.
The facilities are basic but functional and the whole site is immaculate.
The owners are very friendly and helpful with nothing seeming to be too much trouble.

We have spent two summer holidays at this site as we have family in the area.
Most people use it as an over night stop as it is conveniently located off the A20. It overlooks a lake called Plan de Jonas. That used to be the name of the site. Following any signs to Plan de Jonas, make or campsite will get you there.
It is owned and run by an extremely helpful and friendly couple. The site is quiet but it has a little play area for young children and a lovely small, heated pool.
The toilets and showers are kept very clean and have been renovated but I would describe them as adequate.
Nearby Ambazac is a nice little town within walking distance.
Definitely a place worth staying for longer than one night and enjoying the lovely surroundings.
