A gem of a site. If you want rest and relaxation this is the site for you. The staff could not be more helpful from the time of arrival to the time we left.
Yes the site slopes a bit but come armed with ‘blocks and chocks’ The site facilities and staff more than make up for it.
Good walking in local area, bike riding a bit of a challenge with some hills.
The restaurant and take away were exceptional.
The pool and children’s areas were not open at the time we were there but a lot of work is going into them and they should be good.
Very accommodating owner, beautiful kept site. Large pitches but you do
need levelling blocks!! Lovely lake and very peaceful tranquil site. Stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant food was amazing. Fantastic clean toilet block, swimming pool being totally refurbished. Well worth a visit.
Site owner very accommodating, helpful and friendly staff. Very large pitches but take levelling blocks!! Food in restaurant exceptional. Would visit again. Very quiet tranquil site. Good for a relaxing holiday. Toilets modern and immaculate.
We had a very peaceful 2 days here, the staff were very friendly, the pitch was very spacious. There was activities organised which enabled us to mix with the other campers. Throughly enjoyed and would recommend, will revisit.
Stayed here for three (very hot) nights in June. Lovely campsite in lovely setting. Very big pitches with good grass though it was a bit of a challenge to find a complete flat area for our tent. Didn't pay extra for a pitch with more Amp which was no problem. Excellent, clean sanitary facilities (cover for toilet seat!) but the cold hair dryer was a bit disappointing. Very friendly staff. Small shop for bread etc. Didn't use the restaurant but had an excellent take away. Not heated swimming pool but had warmed up quite a bit in the heat. Lovely lake that you couldn't swim in (and no 'adult' fishing rod to be hired).
Paid WiFi only but the 2 hour card suited us during our stay.
Surroundings not very exciting but walked the GR 64 to Boussac which was nice.
(Motorhome with dog). Originally intended to try 2 nights but quickly revised that to 7. Just what we wanted - peace and quiet, glorious site, great sanitary facilities, terrific food. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Lovely walk around the fishing lake with our dog.
Very pretty site on the edge of a lake in the grounds of a chateau. Friendly reception staff, bread etc can be order daily, restaurant on site, although didn't use it. Some pitches slope quite a bit, we had to use blocks and extra wooden blocks and still weren't level. Very clean showers and toilets, cleaning lady was there nearly all day. We cycled around the area but it was quite hilly, and very hot .. so was hard work!
We intended to stay for ten nights but left after four. The site was very quiet being less than 5% full. Staff very efficient and friendly. The ACSI guide is very misleading in that the majority of pitches are not level and most pitches are subject to a supplementary charge for additional electricity amperage.
The surrounding area is very rural and there is little to see without driving fairly long distances. First and last visit for us.
We are most surprised at the negative comments here as we found everything on this site absolutely faultless. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, were impressively multilingual and nothing was too much trouble. The sanitary facilities were immaculate and in excellent condition, cleaned at least 3 times a day and continuous hot water too for washing up etc. Our pitch was large, a bit sloping, but with a lovely view of the lake. The site is big with wonderful woodland walks and lots of dog walking and swimming in the lake opportunities. We took out a canoe which was great fun. One day we walked into town which took about 45 mins along the off-road marked route. The bar is open most evenings, as is the excellent restaurant. Yes, it is in a quiet region of France but if you want a campsite in beautiful, peaceful and relaxing surroundings then this is highly recommended. And within a short drive from the site there is lots to see and do if you want to get out and about.
Having read some of the negative comments here I think they must be referring to the wrong site. The staff were polite, helpful at all times. The toilet/shower block was A1+ and always clean. The pitches are large and well kept. All in all this is a fantastic site for just chilling out and taking in the lovely surroundings with the added bonus of a swimming pool etc. We took advantage of the takeaway which was also first class. We will be returning to this little oasis.
