Our first time here but will not be our last, once we arrived you new this was not going to be a one nighter, stayed for 3,
Staff were excellent, asked when the bar opened and was told when your there it\'s open! Had a beautiful pitch at the far end of the site, picked up Satellite and the free wifi with a good signal.
Nice cycle ride into Bagnols-Sur-Cèze, just remember shops close 12:30-2:00. There a few supermarkets close by also.
Swimming pool is excellent, has restaurant and takeaway.
Thanks Acsi for having this site in your book
This is one of our favourite French sites and we return year after year. It is set in delightful surroundings on the banks of the River Ceze. Wildlife abounds; fish and beaver in the river and a large variety of birds in the many trees. Pitches are generous with plenty of shade or sun if preferred.
There are two good sanitary blocks and ample water and electric points. The reception area and pool are in a lovely sunny spot and the welcome is always warm. The surrounding area has many attractions and the old part of Bagnols town is well worth vis ting.
A busy site but with plenty of room. Most pitches are under trees which is great in hot weather. Staff were wonderful when all our cards and money were stolen ! Town is disappointing but a nice area to explore to the north west. A nice place to stay.
Very good welcome at reception but when we looked around the site it really wasn't the type of site that we wanted as we love the sun and wanted an unshaded site. There were some at the far end of the site but it meant a trek to the toilet bock or the swimming pool. For those of you that want to come here it has some very nice features, if you want a bit of shade then you can find a site close to the very good amenities which will be great AND unusually the WiFi is free and fast, I had 8 mgps. So this is a site that is very good but it's nice to know what the pros and cons are.
We stayed here in May for the 1st time, booked for 3 nights, stayed for 15! Very helpful owners when we needed to get our dog to a vet in the evening. Yvette, the owner arranged everything and just told us to take her vehicle and go. Lovely position on the River Ceze, you can watch the Beavers every evening swim up river to feed. Bagnols is a lovely town within walking distance and the whole area has some beautiful villages. Have just returned from a 2nd visit on our way to Provence.
This site, next to the Ceze is owned by a Dutch.family and the majority of their clientele are Dutch. Pitches are somewhat haphazard as you are amongst mature trees, but when the site is less busy it means you have plenty of space, The sanitary facilities were always spotless and, regardless of the time of day, there was adequete hot water for showers. The shower cubicles were roomy and there are also individual washbasin cubicles in one of the 2 blocks. The management were helpful and spoke good English. The pool , I thought was quite small for the size of the site and it didnt feel like it was heated. The town of Bagnols was 2 miles away. However, the listings saying "cycle routes starting at the campsite" isnt strictly true.We assumed there was a cycle path from the site but the whole journey into Bagnols was on roads, some quite narrow in parts.Having said that ,it wasnt a difficult ride in to the town.
Spacious pitches under the trees. Ours was by the River Cèze. Had a couple of days of the Mistral which took the edge off the sunshine. Main complaint is that the Facilities were quite inadequate - 4 loos and 4 showers only were available for sometimes up to 100 caravans. No "cabines" - and this a 4* site?
