Travelling party: Seniors

Really peaceful in the forest by the river. Good shade. The bathroom facilities are new and excellent - best we have seen on a campsite! Internet was not usable (too little bandwidth) some 3G service available. Owner hopes that it will be upgraded next year. Restaurant/bar open evenings only.

Travelling party: Couple

We chose this as a one night stopover enroute north. As such it was a good choice being close to a town for good access and food shopping but far enough away to be quiet. We were lucky enough to get a pitch at the far edge of the site just above the river. Sadly the pitches don\'t have river views but access is easy down a fairly steep path to small shingle beaches. The water was crystal clear and warm, and swimming in the river was a real treat after a hot day in the motorhome cab. Despite being fairly full, the site was quiet and we had a good night. The staff we met were very friendly and spoke reasonable English. The swimming pool was small but more than adequate. We didn\'t use the restaurant but it looked very good. The laundry facilities, attached to the library, were more than adequate. The toilet/washroom facilities were excellent; this was our 16th campsite on this trip and what we found here were amongst the best we\'ve had so far. If we\'d had the time to stop longer at this site we definitely would have done so.
