We have visited this campsite several times and always look forward to our return. The owner is cheerful and friendly and meets you with a smile. The pitches are spacious with many options for shade which was very important in the 32c heat. It’s position by the river is pleasant and delightful for a cool dip. The pool seems to be recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean with new sun beds and numerous sun umbrellas. It was delivered to our caravan which was a pleasant surprise!
The sanitation block is simple with mixed toilets and showers, but was spotless. There was plenty of hot water. There is 30 minutes a day free WiFi around the bar/ restaurant.
Anduze is a lovely town popular with tourists. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. The steam train runs from Anduze to the little town of St Jean de Gard. We hiked from the campsite and caught the train back. We look forward to our return.
Very nice campsite on the banks of the river, the walk to town is probably 15 to 20 minutes and in places their are no footpaths. There is also good walking in the hills opposite the site. The river was warm enough to swim in, even in May, the pool however was freezing!
The main block of facilities is heated and modern, the older facilities are not heated but are clean.
We came here for two nights and stayed a week!
A heated pool would make this site even better! We will return whether or not that happens.
Lovely campsite, directly on the river and a short walk into town. Good welcome, good quality toilet facilities and a well run site. Don't forget to try the steam train with its stunning views.
