Lovely site in beautiful area. We had difficulty in finding it but that was probably us. Sanitary facilities and swimming pool excellent. Revommended.
Lovely, peaceful campsite, set among woods opposite a lake. Pitches well cared for, screened by hedges & trees. Part shade & sun. Pool excellent, with small jacuzzi & kids section across one corner. A few sun loungers. Good sanitaire block. Better than average French sites. Bread delivered daily & restaurant & bar across the road by the side of the lake. We spent a lovely few, calm days here, didn't move but neighbours with 2 kids had great fun out & about on bikes, visiting the area lots of fun. Owner/manager & wife very nice, helpful & friendly. Perfect got a quiet relaxing stay.
Actually a very nice site only let down by owners who clearly didn't make the grade even to get into charm school.
Nice and quiet apart from one hideously badly behaved toddler but that is not the site's fault.
Strict rules about a one way system making it impossible to get a turn at the exit - owners were not sympathetic!
There is a restaurant over the road by the lake, but we did not try it. Swimming pool quite small but adequate for the campers that were there, pool had a built in jacuzzi which was a nice touch.
I am just a bit sad that a nice site like this should be ruined by rude, surly owners. Because of this I would never go back.
On arrival, a rather surly woman on reception refused to let us look around or choose a pitch, saying we had to pay up-front before entering the site and no choice of pitch on ACSI, just the one she would allocate to us. It was 3pm and a sunny afternoon so we decided to accept her terms.
The pitch was level and hedged, but small. about 90% of the pitches were unoccupied (so why restrict pitch choice?).
We hastily pitched then changed and went to the pool...which was closed and covered over.
All but 2 of the toilet cubicles were locked and only 1 basin cubicle was available for use, by the entire campsite. 6 showers were open, the rest on lockdown. One has to wonder if this is why we weren\'t permitted to view before making payment.
We paid in cash on request and were not issued with a receipt.
A nice site which could be infinitely better if the staff (owners?) learned a bit about courtesy and friendliness and tried applying their new skills towards potential customers. And better to let people know the pool is closed before insisting on payment, maybe?
Will we be returning? Nope.
