We stayed here for 3 nights, it’s smaller than you first think, built on a hill. More cabins to rent than pitches. Pitches mostly on slopes, and we had some problems with the electricity supply. It’s convenient for Ornans (20 mins walk) with lots of walking and biking options nearby. Would recommend for a few days, probably wouldn’t want to stay longer.

The campsite is situated on a hill with a mix of chalet and rather odd looking sheds both seasonal and rentals as well as touring pitches which are mixed in with the other accommodations. Electricity offered is 5 amp or 10 amp. There weren’t enough points without electric leads having to cross pathways and roads. Two sanitaires with only one open in May. This had 3 toilets with a central toilet roll dispenser, 3 showers, 2 washrooms as well as open basins, no hand dryers. One of the shower thermostats was on the wrong way and the water came out extremely hot. Separate mens and womens facilities. Although the showers were clean on using in the mornings, the cleaning wasn’t done on a regular basis. The lights are on a timer and are only activated on entering the sanitaire building. The handwash basin in the laundry room only served cold water therefore you had to use the dishwashing sinks. Campers seemed to think it acceptable to clean their muddy boots in the washing up sinks. The campsite is in need of tlc and could be better looked after. Onsite roads and pathways need resurfacing. To get across to the sanitaire from our pitch in the dark we needed a good torch as motorhome owners had to get electricity from the opposite pitch and continental leads are mainly black. One even had a socket wrapped in a bin bag which was a trip hazard in the centre of the walkway. Safety did not seem a priority. Note we had to pay in full on arrival, the only campsite in France that asked for this. We presume this is because there is a separate exit. Unfortunately, we felt we could not curtail our stay as we probably wouldn't have got a refund.

Excellent site run by a wonderful host who took time to explain the site and the surroundings. She printed off useful information for us and set up the TV for us to watch the rugby! the snack bar/restaurant was closed but its a 15-20 minute walk into the lovely town of Ornans. The facilities were clean and the site quiet and well kept.
