No control on Showers but hot enough has seats on loos Dish washing a bit sparse not very good., an enjoyable site with noise from road easy to get use to it quiet at night.
Don\'t be put off by the very shabby entrance. The pitches are pleasant and a good size. The showers are clean, with a radiator to warm them in October. The reason to come here is to visit Besançon which we really enjoyed. There is a good value tram with stop close to the site and also a really good cycle path in to the centre that runs by the river. The gentleman in reception was very helpful and welcoming. We\'ll worth a visit.
Very good location to access city. Plenty of retail etc close by. Excellent cycle way along the river into the city. Enjoyed the visit into Besançon and the citadel was good value.
Used this site as a stopover on our way South. The pitch was ok. The toilet and shower building looked very tired from the outside although they were clean and the showers were good.
This makes a good transit stop. We stayed for one night heading north. We had some difficulty finding the site because our Tom-Tom sat nav recognised the road, but not property numbers - and it is a long road. Probably best to approach the site from Besancon. There is a cycle route into Besancon which looked good though we did not use it. In early July 2018 the swimming pool next to the site was closed. Bread available at reception, but not much else. .You can go on foot to a supermarket, turning left out of the campsite and walking up the busy main road. The site is next to the road and there is a lot of road noise, so ask for a pitch away from the road. Toilets clean and well maintained.
A great place to stay to visit Besancon, which is well worth a visit. There is the tram into town and a big supermarket within walking distance. The campsite could do with a bit of tidying up but is fine. The pitches are a good size and flat. We had an excellent pizza across the road.
Good site for an overnight stop. Pitches well laid out with water and electrics easily available. Very good toilet and shower facilities. As others have said don't be put off by the very tatty entrance ! Pedestrian access to nearby supermarket and local tram system.
Located just 5kms or so on the outskirts of Besancon, this is a good stopover site for a visit to the city. It's just a short walk to the tram stop. It's a very inexpensive and hassle free way to visit the city. The site itself is pleasantly laid out and the sanitary facilities are good. Some parts were't yet open (early May) but the site seemed well maintained and there was plentiful information on local attractions.
Large site with mostly grassed pitches set amongst trees. Easy access to ehu & water. 15 minute walk to tram stop for easy access into Besancon town, trams run every 15 mins. Access to swimming pool next door with the grassed area being fenced off between the two. The noise level could become intrusive if pool was busy.
There is the hum from nearby main road during busy periods but we didn't find this a problem, the quieter side furthest away from the road is also furthest away from showers. The shower block looks very drab from the back (which is the side seen from the entrance to the campsite) but inside they have been recently refurbished & are very good. A good site for visiting Besancon town.
Don't be put off by the view that greets you at the entrance which is a run down area. After 3Pm is the time to arrive, I thought it was 2PM but although the Lady didn't seem happy she lifted the barrier and let us through. The site was quiet and we chose a nice level pitch on the raised area next to a very nice toilet block. The site is good for a overnight stop, we were travelling from Strasbourg to Lyon and it is just off the main road and close to some eating establishments. Would use again for one or two nights.
