Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Stayed 2 nights at full rate in August but still reasonable. Good size pitches mostly marked out by hedges. Pleasant reception staff, English-speaking. Chalons is 4km away, pleasant town though quite quiet. Big Carrefour nearby. Site is let down by the toilet facilities, which urgently need a refurb. They seemed clean enough but you can\'t avoid the flaking plaster on the walls and the shower trays which have become an ingrained grey. The showers are warm, although have the button you have to keep constantly pressed. Site mostly used by one-nighters.

Old sanitary facilities but clean and functional. Staff pleasant, pitches a decent size. We went cycling - roads a bit busy but there was a festival on when we were there (beg sept). There are cycle paths which took us round the town but not everywhere. No pool but only stayed overnight so didn't bother us. Bar open and reasonably price. Bakers, butchers and pharmacy very close. Good stopover site.

Stayed for one night in March which is a time when no site looks its best as there has been no landscaping growth. There has been criticism of toilet facilities - but looks like it has had all new cubicles fittings etc throughout. The building itself is a typical 60s build and remains unattractive! An excellent overnight stop, good pitches with hard standing, electric, water and drain. Surrounding houses are not an issue at all in my opinion and good dog walk around small lake. Would happily use again at this time of year!

Campsite was easy to find and good access. Site itself was clean but toilets were grotty and dated. There were a lot of repairs that were very DIY. Campsite is in town so you have to expect noise. I would only ever use as one night stop over.

We ventured to this site with a view to a one night stop-over (coming back up from the south of France in our motorhome) - but were sufficiently happy to make it a 2 night stop. However we thought the 4 star rating ought to be 3. Easy to find even with road work closures nearby. Very pleasant staff in reception - good command of English. A good sized (Blue Badge) pitch close to the toilet/shower block. Toilets and showers rather tired but cleaned regularly. Waste bins also cleared as and when full. A good dog walking area around the "pond". Ground management (ie grass cutting and hedge trimming) was lacking at the time of our visit but - all in all - a pleasant and useful short stay site.

Facilities dated but are kept clean, busy site but nice, large pitches , staff friendly and helpful, would return

Convenient site for travelling south. Some improvement to the washroom facilities would lift this site, however the pitches are level and a decent size. We have stopped here a number of times and we will continue to do so.

This municipal site in my opinion does not deserve it's four star rating. This has all the makings of a good site, but let down by lacklustre staff/management. We were once again reminded that we were back in the north of France in a wet month by the biting of the mosquitos. Not for us, we left after one night.

Very friendly and helpful staff but would only consider this site as an overnight stop as the facilities are very old and shabby. Most people seem to think the same and is like a transit camp.
